Optimus is a young guy who failed in becoming a real Autobot, he and his crew are repair bots, not warriors. So when the Decepticons appear, they are a major threat and the whole team has to fight together against a single Decepticon warrior. There are a number of human villains for them to fight against as well to further highlight the point that Decepticons are a huge deal. And these human characters and villains are actually pretty interesting and fun.

They went for a very streamlined art direction to make it easier to draw with fluid animation, but then they slashed the animation budget so you just got a bunch of wonky big chinned weirdos that move like paper cut outs. The sound mixing was awful. The robot's voices were too tinny. Outside of Bulkhead, none of the characters developed at all beyond the first 3 episodes. The voice directing felt off, which is weird because Sue did great work in the voice directing on Beast Wars.

The section on the right would have been torn off the roof and broken in half and attached to the left section to form the F. This resulted in the portal it creates being really high off the ground, causing anyone coming through it to fall really far, and anyone wanting to go through it on the earth side having to climb up the thing. The F bridge would not have been a massive presence in the series. It was a fun way to render the space bridge mostly inoperable so Sari couldn’t call for help from Cybertron, or go to Cybertron. She was completely cut off. The F bridge would have been very selective of what portals it would create. It could have decided to just warp over random aliens to earth to cause chaos, for fun. Or acted like it was sending her to Cybertron and instead sent her to some random hostile alien planet. It wasn’t going to be featured a lot, though. It could have gotten annoying pretty fast. I was a dumb 17 year old when I came up with the idea, Derrick loved it, and really wanted it. L could have been fun, but I dunno, F is just funnier to me. I don’t think Derrick would have allowed any panty shots in it, but SG Sari would have playfully flirted with Sari to annoy her, to whatever extent the content guidelines would allow. Derrick was okay with that. Assuming the Hub would have even been interested up the pitch and not run it through a ton of changes.
