so what do you all think about people who actually read/watch cartoons vs people who just watch YouTube video essays or just cosplay or just post on twitter about these things etc. Is it wrong to say someone isn't a "real" fan if they haven't actually read,watched,played or otherwise experienced the thing ?The internet seems to have made things so accessible that lots of people are interested in some media/series and interact with it only tangentially or i guess you could say passively and according to some people that's not only ok but just as "real" as the person who actually reads or watches the thing in question.
