In Amazing Spider-Man 1000, Aunt May ends up losing her memories of Peter. I think what they should do is have Peter make a deal with Mephisto to restore her memories but in exchange Peter is forced to lose all his memories of Gwen Stacy.Let's face it Gwen Stacy is bad for comics, that's why people like X-Men editor Tom Brevoort thinks she should stay dead. The X-Men are Marvel's biggest and most important franchise, and that's why bringing her back is a failure and keeping her dead is a success.The problem is that bad Gwen fans like the Gwenschizo keep trolling threads and hurting Marvel's image well that's it then, Marvel needs to show it's had enough of these Gwenfags and punish them by erasing the original Gwen completely and focusing only on Spider-Gwen from now on. Truth be told I never cared for Gwen I always felt that Betty Brant should be Peter's true love anyways, Gwen was just a cheating whore who fucked Norman Osborn.

And the writers genuinely thought that audiences liked Paul enough that this would be seen as an unforgivable sin, a selfish wish made at the cost of an innocent (and very buff and handsome and cool) man that would forever be a stain on Peter's moral character that we would never let him live down.

It would probably be just to bring Gwen back since fucking everybody else short of Uncle Ben has been revived already, but what do you do with her? She would just be a rando civilian without even the decades of shared history and getting caught up in super hero shit that Peter's traditional supporting cast has.
