Suits like that make sense for Arkham Knight because he has the whole PMC and being extremely reliant on tech thing going, but Batman should be more streamlined because it's more about his inherent skills and less about the tech.Also I just like my superheros to be dudes in costumes and not ultra-realistic, because the more you try to force realism into comic books, the more they fall apart.

We accept them because they're comics/cartoons/movies/whatever but when you try to explain them, make them more "realistic" or tactical, all you're doing is calling attention to how unrealistic you are. Because this isn't anymore realistic either. So you have a boring unrealistic suit taking itself too seriously rather than a fun unrealistic suit that knows the balance.
