A huge chunk of Marvel's comics are now at the risk of becoming completely decanonized due to the sliding timescale making it so that the FF become a team after 2001. We've already seen that Marvel is doing stuff like having Captain America wake up a good while after 9/11, even with there being comics involving him helping people in the aftermath of the attacks.

Will Marvel pull a Siancong War and replace 9/11 with an in-universe equivalent, or will they retcon all comics referencing it?

The Siancong War was not received well when they implemented that, so they'll just let them get decanonized

Christian Spidey confirmed

I mean the real question is how did the world know Captain America's identity now, because he revealed it to the world in the aftermath of 9/11 in the Marvel Knights Captain America comic. On the other hand it seems like everyone tries to pretend the Marvel Knights Cap comic doesn't exist

I really think calling attention to or worrying about the sliding timescale is stupid. Ben Grimm fought in Korea and is eternally in his 30s or 40s that's just how it goes in these unending stories. Trying to explain it gives you stupid shit like this >>155424301
If you're not going to do a complete, 100% ground zero reboot (which I don't think is a good idea either) just leave it alone

the sliding timescale is about 15 years total; stuff that doesn't fit just slides out the sides

Spider-Man was on SNL with John Belushi, ie prior to 1979; but that now happened in a separate universe even though originally it was main 616

in effect those events still happened, they just didn't happen the way Tajōmaru remembered it

Not the canon!

I think the official reason is that the SNL story happened, but with a different SNL cast, so instead of teaming up with Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin it's probably Spider-Man teaming up with Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon
