They're in a price point that can entice a more general bookstore walk in purchase, blank slate star wars comics are a great fit for them, the ultimate universe as well.I personally don't believe that Marvel are interested in creating a strong "canon" of books in the way that DC do with their graphic novels, they want to sell modern looking books that have strong brand synergy in the moment.

>>155425335I anm not a fan of the compact editions to be honest. I frown on them due to their small size since you have to strain your eyes to see all the small words. that's why I prefer the epic and DC finest and TPB since they come in bigger normal size.

A lot of people have it, but a lot of people don't, and $10 for 12 issues is a heck of a deal if you're the kind of person that really wants to get any form of it physically to read.Although they're also not for me, but that's because I wait until backstock days at the LCS. They sell floppies at 50% cover price, and I just pick up what I liked over the past year.

>>155427151There's definitely a mismatch since they're shrinking down the original intended size but I think the intent of something compact and cheaper makes sense. It would be good if compact readability was accounted for in future material.
