Is this still a thing in current GL? I always liked it.Also what are the new lanterns' ringslinging like in relation to these?
>>155425592Good question
I think only Guy has still his gimmick
I think even Johns forgot about it during his run.

>>155426485Meh, I've heard better ones
>>155431151Such as?
Bumping a comic thread.
>>155429672Shut up
>>155432811I'll take that as a no.
>>155428584The different main lanterns all had different styles of construct. Kyle was the most creative, John constructed everything don't to the nuts and bolts, Guy was an overflowing fountain whose ring constantly sparked energy and Hal... well he was there too.
>>155433922Really? Nothing for Hal?
>>155434869Hal just sort of got boring all rounder. But he's the best because ummm.... someone in power was a silver age baby.
>>155432755/co/ is marvel board
>>155435379In my heart of hearts I'm a DC
>>155435379Yes, I know /co/ is full of shit-taste-having gay retards.
>>155435342Hal’s will is the most direct and focused because he cares more abour gettinf the job done which is why his willpower is the greatest out of the four, that’s what he makes up for thr lack of the other corpsmen’s interesting attributes.
>>155434869Hals's the most straight-forward one. People meme about the giant green boxing gloves, but that's because he doesn't think things through like John or Kyle, he just goes for the simplest solution.Like if they want to put someone in a box, Kyle might draw some ornate design for the box from his imagination and John would make sure the technical details like hinges and locking mechanism would work properly, while Hal would just materialize a generic box around the bad guy. It's boring, but effective.Though of course, it depends a lot on the creative team. As the OP implies, most writers don't pay much attention to the specific individual details of how a GL uses their ring.
