>>155430146The elements Disney utilized in their Tarzan movie are public domain by now. Disney can liberally use those like Tarzan, Clayton, and Jane. Edgar Rice can't claim they invented those because inhouse trademark dictates that Disney's Tarzan adaptation naturally belongs to Disney and it helps Disney that copyright trumps trademarks and Disney's Tarzan copyright is fresher than Edgar Rice's ancient novels many of which are public domain and and next year even more will have their copyrights expire. Edgar Rice is literally fighting a LOSING battle if they start any bullshit.Come to think of it, I don't remember Edgar Rice being thanked during Disney's Once Upon A Studio animation short which utilized Tarzan's characters. Goes to show that Edgar Rice can't interfere with Disney's exclusive adaptations of these characters especially since for years now they're public domain.
