Sag-aftra listed that a ben 10 pilot is being made. People are acting like we know nothing about it even though roughly a year ago we already got concept leaks showing it's gonna be china mythology ben 10

That was just a fan made concept

>the guy currently working at warner bros, who NEVER publicly posted ben 10 concepts, but had a password protected warner page on his site which was taken down after the leaks spread was just a fan concept
ok
I can't wait to laugh in your face when the series actually comes out

Do you guys think the animation industry has learned by now that almost nobody wants to see a show they want butchered to appeal to a demographic of female audiences that won't hold the ratings or by merch, nor do they want to see it AT/SU-"ified" with softer designs, worse animation and and more focus on identity politics and romance drama than cool designs and fight scenes?

They can never get new fans with these, nor does it hold enough old fans to make the change worth it. The only demographic these changes appeal to are brainless cattle that mindlessly consooms any official content that comes their way, and antagonistic twats that get a sick kick out of destroying people's childhoods.

>samefagging here because I unironcially pissed myself off writing this
I was a kid when the original came on. It was a great watch, Alien Force, UA, and Omniverse were too. Even the live actions were good and faithful.

The reboot was the only real sour note in the franchise. It sticks out like a sore thumb. It had some good ideas I'll admit, but that only makes it hurt worse with how genuinely unbearable the art style is. 2016 Ben 10 has some of the most creative transformation sequences out of all the Bens, but it's ruined by just how ugly both the humans and most of the aliens are.

There was nothing to gain from this art style. It made the toys unbuyable, it ruined some aliens and didn't improve a single one, whenever the show did decide to have serious moments or fight scenes it made them hard to take seriously and I think worst of all is that it bogs down what was basically some of the most creative transformation sequences out of all the Ben 10s. Now that's just the animation. The writing was forgettable. What chills me right now is the fact that the next reboot's writing could very well be just as bad as its art style and animation which also could be just as bad as 2016's was.

We're still at that stage where companies are desperately trying to reach out to new audiences with old products, so they'll abandon what made these old things good and fail to get these new fans so all we're left with is a product that feels like it was made with contempt for the fans that made it popular.

Apparently they also gave one for the Steven Universe spin-offs, which will be fucking lame.
It shouldn't surprise me, but unaired pilots still being made sorta surprises me. Are they really finishing a full 11 minute episode that no one will ever get to see?

I have heard rumors that these "pilots" will just become episode 1's of the show. That's what people have been speculating with the SU lars series anyway

That the Lars thing or something else?

It'll probably be this, but I hope enough time has passed from this concept art to the actual beginning phase of the project that they cleaned this shit up some and rethought the Chinese reboot idea.

>china mythology ben 10
Fucking why? Why is it impossible to just make a normal, half-decent new Ben show?
Ben 10 2016 was some weird reboot that was attempting to target very young, single-digit aged kids who never saw the original, AF/UA, or probably even Omniverse, and it flopped.
It's 2026, and this franchise is 21 years old. A majority of the people who watched any of the pre-2016 iterations of the franchise are adults. Nostalgia sells these day, so wouldn't it be a no fucking brainer to target them and make something they would like? I know that fans of the original series, AF/UA, and Omniverse are all pretty divided, but I feel like it would be possible to make something that pleases all of them.
