To be fair, this doesn't look like a passion project anyways. Like this shit would been a forgettable single season cartoon in the late 2000s to early 2010s that a random network farted out just to fill a timeslot. It's kind of appropriate that it's using AI because cheap and lazy also applies to the concept itself, not just the execution.

As for why industry veterans are using it, because no one has money and no one is interested. Who the fuck would greenlight this?

Looks as bad as "nepobaby ricecel seethe: the series CCP edition" Netflix just spent millions on for $0 of it's budget. Expect more slop and no AI disclosure from larger and larger real studios to replace the animation jobs they already sent overseas 30 years ago.
