CatDog may have aired its pilot, Dog Gone, plus an eleven minute segment and a mini short in April 1998, but it didn't officially start til October 1998. A show that premieres within the last 16 months of the 90s is not a 90s show.

Basically if it premiered before the second half of the 1998 calendar year, I consider it 90s. I also consider anything from the second half of the 1988 calendar year and the entirety of 1989 to be 90s shows.

Similar to how the Covid-19 pandemic ended 2010’s culture.If anything 1997 was the year that kickstarted late 90’s culture, just like how IMO the 2016 culture war and election shit kickstarted late 2010s culture.
