First off, i didn't want to use the horrible cover...

Amazing Spider-Man #1000 was supposed to be out on September 16th, 2026. Marvel said it was delayed for two weeks. This now means it will be on the 30th. They said it was a printer error. I call bullshit. Nothing else, as far as i can tell was affected. I believe that they are heavily and hastily rewriting most of the issue. Now, could it be that they are finally listening to the fans? Will it be fixed? or will this be a worse case scenario where they double down on all the crap they've been trying to push?

If they are trying to fix it, it is only because of the upcoming office move and some of these idiots are trying to save their jobs. I'm sorry, way too little and way too late!
All the editors need to go! Most of the writers need to go! Now, I'm not saying that the relocation will be a good thing, i highly doubt it will as they are moving to the land of woke... But we won't be seeing the effects of the move for at least 6-8 months after.

*oh, and before i forget: I'm the huge Ben Scarlet Spider fan and haven't posted here since chasm became a thing. I just wanted to break my silence to call out marvel and their lies! And if what i hear is true, I will soon be done altogether with modern comics. black arachnid better NOT be taking the Scarlet Spider moniker!

You dont redraw/rewrite an entire comic issue in two weeks. Not how it works.
>>
>>155491509
Yeah, was about to say that.

You would need over a month and the level of crunch needed would literally be borderline illegal.
>>
>>155491232
Not linking it
>This year's Local Comic Shop Day, which falls on Sept. 26, 2026, is sure to be an especially big deal for Spider-Man fans. Marvel Comics is distributing The Amazing Spider-Man #1000 exclusively in local retailers across the country that day, which is four days earlier than its official release date.
>>
>>155491232
>I will soon be done altogether with modern comics
Why are people still reading them? They're always bad, at best mediocre. Especially when compared to anything published two or more decades ago
>>
>>155491775
It depends. If they only need a couple of pages or some art edits, two weeks would be sufficient. I'm not sure I believe it, but it's believable.

I think they wanted to increase the hype for what should be a major milestone issue that no one seems to be looking forward to at all. It's not going to work, obviously, but I think Lowe's job is riding on it selling out.
>>
As others have said, you can't hastily add shit to a process this late when it's about half a year to get a page together in the current office.

That said, the big #1000 going to be outsold by the average Absolute Batman issue is a massive red alert for what's supposed to be the sales figurehead for the whole industry. This and the move means big swings are going to be felt.

how close to release was the last issue of OMD when JMS and Quesada were arguing about it and whether JMS' name would be on the book?
>>
>>155492286
>the big #1000 going to be outsold by the average Absolute Batman issue
Doubt. But the real humiliation comes from the fact that Abs Bats #1 will be more successful commercially, and culturally.
>>
>>155492227
>>155491775
Keep in mind that this is going to be anthology book too. A lot of the stories could be shorter. And just because we're only hearing it now doesn't mean they started it now.
>>
>>155491232
>black arachnid better NOT be taking the Scarlet Spider moniker!
Is this an actual rumor for something that's supposedly going to happen in that issue? If so, they really just need to give that guy his own superhero identity instead of just stealing ones from others.
>>
If they needed to change anything it wouldn't take a month to fix especially if its just Dialogue and AI doesn't take to much time to touch up in Photoshop.

But the delay is about pushing more orders.
>>
>>155492286
>>155492435
Will the disappointing sales be enough to light a fire under the editorial's asses, though?
>>
>>155492915
Lol. No.
>>
>>155492915
their asses are fireproof
>>
>>155492403
It was at least a month, I think longer
>>
>>155492435
Absolute Batman has been consistently hitting 400k sales, sometimes going as high as 500k, last we saw Amazing 1000 was only at 400k
>>
>>155492915
Usually no, but between the market share, the move and Absolute domination, it's no longer business as usual - managed decline.

There's only one way it could backfire horribly. It's so bad that even normalfags and big ecelebs talk about it. Like what RLM did. Youtube essays, Twitch streams, popular Twitter posts, memes using panels as the formats just like what happened with TLOU2, you name it.

>>155493088
Wow I didn't know that it was doing so well. More like, Absolute Marvel suicide.
>>
Aunt May getting alzheimers didn't go over like they wanted
>>

>It's so bad that even normalfags and big ecelebs talk about it.
They'll try to use that as proof that they did something right.
>>
>>155493781
Nothing is going as they want, they have repeatedly proven themselves surprised by the audiences reception and reactions. They are cloistered.
>>
>>155493781
>>155494403
Because nobody cares if it's just going to be reversed anyway
>>
>>155493088
Lol no
>>
>>155494636
They have exhausted every possible option and outcome for Aunt May before, they need to make her a character again by letting her KNOW just like how in-universe Peter would remember her knowing and it being for the better. It's entitrely because the current editorials evergreen is so bad that this dead plank character continues to exist to cause Peter eye-roll guilt for missing events when he's choosing Superheroics without her knowledge.

Reads like a schizo post, god damn.

Your opinion is retarded and you're a stupid faggot. Embarrasingly retarded. So disconnected from any sort of production reality that I have to assume your job is limited to scrubbing shitters.

Two weeks turn-around time for a 22-page book would be near impossible with their pipeline, let alone the size of this turd. Not to mention that much of that time would be spent printing, it'd be a turn-around of less than a week. Even if it were just a handful of pages, that'd be cutting things far too close.

It almost certainly is printer issues. If you were following anything other than vague culture war faggotry you'd know that Marvel has been shitting out major printing errors for years now, like entire pages missing in $200+ omnibus, and telling customers to eat a dick and print off a replacement page.

The gormless faggots probably reversed an entire page and are scrambling.

TL;DR: KYS faggot.

When is ASM 1000 supposed to even be set in relation to the current event?

What the hell is wrong with anti spiderfag schizos?
>>
>>155496888
It doesn't matter, QIB is never going to be mentioned ever again. It's far too stupid to rest any kind of weight on it.
Goddamn MJ telling the world her identity.
>>
>>155497159
Yeah, I thought she wanted to keep her identity a secret? I mean, she didn't need to tell anyone about it.
>>
>>155497180
She told apparently every single person on earth, simultaneously. Her life as it was would be over.
Ah what the hell she's going to be a struggling director in a few months, nothing matters and nothing happens.
>>
>>155497209
If some random hoe got rich as fuck over saying Hawk Tuah one time then a supermodel/actress who turned an entire planet into a symbiote definitely can
>>
>>155496895
What kind of hideous shit is that, nothing looks right in that image
>>
>>155497234
That puts more thought into consequences than the writers, Ewing does not give a fuck.
>>
>>155496888
Events typically take place when they finished being published (unless there are tie-ins), not concurrently with titles that aren't directly involving themselves with the event, unless otherwise stated, and vice versa.

With that in mind, I'd assume the unyielding faggotry of QiB will take place after #1,000.
>>
>>155496895
Is that Cletus Cassidy and him making Carnage look like a girl?
>>
>>155497278
But we have some Avengers apocalypse after #1000 as well.
Fucking how MANY apocalypses are hitting the Earth this year? If the move is shaking people, wouldn't it have been a good time to cool the Events jets oh Shogun?

Correct. You're not meant to think about it.
