Hey anons, just wanted to share this obscure Chilean animated series called “Perrito Galáctico” made in 2024.

The protagonists are an anthro mutt astronaut called Mateo, Laika (ghost dog girl based on the real life dog that got sent to space) and a female robot called Amy. The plot is they get lost in space after a failed mission and the episodes follow their adventures as they to try to return to Earth, while being attacked by aliens for unknown reasons.
It’s an educational show for 6-9 year olds so the writing isn’t stellar but I found the visuals and art direction to be rather pleasing and colorful. I think it deserves a little more attention for what it is (the official episodes on Youtube don’t scratch 1k views) so I’ll post some screenshots and webms before I move on and it goes back to being forgotten.

The studio is clearly passionate about their work, even if almost nobody watches it. >>155545095I watched five episodes earlier. It's an okay young kid's show. I'm moderately surprised that the mission control parts are a drama about the scientists trying to figure out what the fuck happened and finding a mole or something. It is still framed in a goofy kid's tone, but it has a story that continues from episode to episode. The ship's crew portions are more roadtrip themed, with the characters going from location to location. Earlier in the thread some guy was talking about the lack of authenticity in the space exploration, but the educational content is basically the dog and robot talking about stellar phenomena, distances and such. I'd recommend this for the target audience over a lot of the cartoons aimed at younger kids in western TV.
