I'm sure you guys are having fun but Jean is a big part of Cyclops's character and I think it's weird to just write their romance off and give it to Peter who not only already has a love interest but is clearly older and more experienced than Jean and has his own stories to tell. If they give him Jean as a love interest they basically end up having to turn the movie into the Spidey and Jean show and that doesn't work. Also Jean is known for being one of the X Men. If you want a mutant redhead girl who is known for hanging around Spidey, why not Firestar? Why take Jean away from Scott?

Feels like there's a lost art to making normal people important to a superhero story. It's why Michelle and Ned are so dull compared to the Punisher and Jean since all the writing resources went towards them. Even Bruce gets moments to shine despite his little screen time and Metzger isn't the best villain he could have been.Something similar happened to The Boys tv show too.
