My idea is for an Avengers team that fills the same role as the Exiles.>Cyclops from a universe where human/mutant relations actually progressed and he has taken on the mantle of Captain America (maybe Steve became President or something corny, or maybe he just died). He's the tactical expert and team leader.>Iron Lad is the tech guy and his time traveling abilities is how they cross universes. He takes them back in time to a point before their current timeline and desired timeline separated, and then just takes the other path. I know he was in a recent Exiles book but I didn't read it so I don't know if they used this idea there.>Blur is the speedster because - as much as I love Quicksilver - I didn't want the roster to be more than half mutants; that would be a waste when the premise allows for real diversity in origins. I haven't actually read many Blur comics though, so I'm open to suggestions for other speedsters.>The Vision is from one of those Earth-11 style universes where every character is the opposite sex and her husband, the Scarlet Wizard, died fighting C'thon. Her tech abilities overlap with Iron Lad, but density shifting and robot representation can both be useful assets.>Meanwhile, this team's Scarlet Witch comes from a universe where her husband The Vision died fighting Ultron. I should probably think up some more differences between her & 616 Wanda, but for now, she's the widowed magic expert.>Sabertooth is here to fill the wolverine-shaped hole that every team book has. He's from the post-Axis era when he was mind-whammied into being a good guy, to showcase this team travels time and universes. Like Blur, I'm willing to swap him out if I hear a suggestion that really strikes a chord.I've posted this in a couple of these threads over the years. I think I should try to develop an expanded roster (or a legacy roster after a few story arcs have resulted in members leaving/dying).
