What's an Elseworlds/Alternate Earths idea you'd want to see added to the main 616 universe? I really like the idea of Pym, Doom, Reed, Tony, and Bruce all being college friends.

It has its serious problems but I would rather read it over a lot of Marvel comics made in the last 10, maybe 20 years. That's not saying much though.

Simonson does course correct, confirming Hawkeye is Clint instead of Wolverine pulling a Supergirl/Sensor Girl con like Loeb wanted (and eventually canonized in the 2000s) but Walt explicitly brings back OG Thor midway through the run to shit on HR Thor, who died in #11, which is the last ISS before the two crossovers that close the series Finally Heroes Reborn Iron Man is a train wreck because it was supposed to be an Iron Man/Hulk team up book, but PAD threatened to shoot up marvel if Hulk got cancelled for Heroes Reborn so they dropped that aspect. Jim Lee created Rebel solely because editorial wouldn't let him use James Rhodes and Lee also had it in his head that Doom should be Tony,'s arc enemy. It's shit but given that it saved us from Teen Tony, it's either a love hate book.

IRL there isn't one school in Manhattan that all the smartest people go to, there's multiple and much like a sports draft they usually go around courting students who would be this extraordinary offering them scholarships, fellowship programs, and/or labs and research grants so they'll go to their school in particular. And that's without getting into the fact that they should all be different ages, meaning they went to college at different times, and that some of them (Tony and Doom in particular) should have just had private tutors coming to their estates to teach them rather then actually attending a university.

What If Magneto had some self-awareness from the start? He and Professor X work together the entire time, the Sentinel Program is shutdown hard before Trask even gets to present it to anyone. Mutants end up completely integrated, with the Avengers being an amalgam of both groups.Maybe the Phoenix Force manifests completely differently and different people are influenced. Maybe you could make a story that merges Days of Future Past and also Age of Ultron. Maybe Civil War goes completely differently with prominent mutants at the table.
