Thats the extent of their appreciation for art, some easily replicateable and disposable.
The point of art is communication. If you're only putting in the words of the prompt the only thing you're communicating is those words, everything else is just the computer making stuff up. I saw some faggot on Youtube try to compare AI slop to LeWitt, a guy whose "art" was just a certificate and instructions of how to set up the exhibition, of course missing the point that LeWitt compared himself to a composer, and the individual exhibitions as the expression of the local musicians (or in his case, draftsmen, carpenters etc). With AI you're losing the intentionality of creation, because it's all just random - and not even in the sense that Pollock is random, it's random in the way Photoshop cloud filters are random, heavily constrained within the training data of a given model.
