>>155586416kind of a pleb who doesn't know his artists/publishers but i wish whoever colored and inked the Darth Vader comics with Lord Momin in it should have done IDW TMNT. i love IDW TMNT but sophie campbelle's run was far too sketchy and minimalist, with a tendency to round out characters to make them "cute", while the earlier stuff was more detailed but overshadowed and a big gonk for me. the darth vader comic i mentioned was the first comic i've bought a physical of (i'd rather spend my cash on art comms so i don't buy art often), and i was blown away by the color and high-contrast but smooth shading. the characters looked human and not a /beg/ artist's loose interpretation of a human, and the artist was even able to make subtle facial expressions with vader's mask with forced perspective. it definitely set a high expectation for me.
