The more kino way to end the series would have been to stay with I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. Jax would heroically sacrifice himself by deleting the rest from an eternity of Caine/Am torture. This includes the abstracted, since they kind of resemble what Am turned Ted into at the end of the short story.
