Has anyone noticed that Curtis in his own show is very different Curtis in Rick and Morty?O.g Curtis was quarrelsome and arrogant; the new Curtis is much more level-headed.I'm not sure what is point of giving spin-off to a character if you are just going to change his personality

Doesn't this always happen? The new writing team just can't cope with treating the established character as they were as a supporting cast member. Joey from Friends was a impossibly stupid yutz in Friends but was practically the straightman in his own show. Cleveland was super mellow and low energy in Family Guy, then became Peter lite when he got his own show, only to kind of end up somewhere in between when he came back.

A side character can be more niche, but a main character needs to carry things a certain way, at least in "normal" stories. You'd think, given how Rick & Morty was this wouldn't have to be the case in Curtis, but I guess so.
