Who’s ready for the new episodes tonight?

Unfortunately, I’m photographing a mass wedding tomorrow, so I need to be in bed, and I can’t really watch the episodes. Doesn’t help that I’ve been occupied by other shows.

On that note, whoever’s been uploading the episodes in the previous thread, you forgot to post “One False Move”/“Personal Train Wreck”, even after the thread lasted two weeks. I’ve been asking for a link to it the whole thread to no avail, so please address this matter ASAP.
>>
I'm going to miss this show when its gone.

Knowing Nicklondeon, they are going to milk this show forever, but maybe it will rest for a couple of years.

I don't think Kevin Sullivan wants to keep doing Loud House forever
>>
Can someone repost that Litterbox Lucy from the previous thread, it timed out.

Then they can find someone else.

The Lana episode, being Lana episode means it was already good. It was really good. It played to her strengths and caring side trying to help a widow find some happiness with an animal. It was sweet and good. The Zach episode is good. I enjoyed it . Zach is funny and though I kind of think he smart, but only with what he puts his mind too, he can do weird science stuff like Lisa. It was a fun one too.

Hopped out of bed, saw it was forty minutes till the premiere, hopped back into bed and daydreamed about the show, and then when I thought it was time I got up and and it was already half past and I'd missed the first episode. I am an idiot. I really hope somebody's good enough to post the DL. Oh yeah, and thanks a lot to the guy last time that gave me the tip on how to watch live, the site was a bust but the mysterious thing you type into the VLC player worked awesome. Appreciate it, man.
>>
I suppose I'll draft my review for the Zach episode while keeping my fingers crossed someone is kind enough to post the DL so I can watch the first one too. For me, this episode was a miss. It was notable, to me, for only two things: it had a good new qt that rather got a lot or screentime and lines, the one with the dark hair that climbed on the wall to get her test results and got gum shoved in her mouth? She was cute. Second, it had one joke that I would say was pretty good, the one where after Zach tricks Ballhofner into taking a big over-country-lines detour to get the backup tests since his plan is he doesn't think they'll let Bollhofner back into the country on account of his 'checkered past'. That was a good one.

Apart from that, the episode was okay plotwise and as far as how it was executed despite not being too original a premise. I personally don't mind unoriginal plots as long as they're executed well, but in that case you do need a good supporting cast and a strong lead, and I don't think Zach is quite it. I feel like this is probably the kind of plot they would've given Lincoln in the early seasons of the show before he mostly learned to use his powers responsibly. I don't know. I guess I liked it better than the Beverly Hillbillies episode Liam got, despite liking Liam better than Zach, because at least this one featured his friends more and it took place in the school so it wasn't just totally removed from everything like that one was and had a much better setting going for it, but still. Oh yeah, and another thing I observed was what a serious downgrade the middle school nurse is from the elementary school nurse, Nurse Patti. Well, we at least got Principal Ramirez to make up for it.
>>
>>155615796
If you dig Zach you'll probably like this ep since there's nothing wrong with it apart from the fact that, well, it stars a character none of us are really here to see I don't think. That's the way I look at it. If all you want to do is relax and hang out in Royal Woods Middle School with the Loud House art style and the Loud House soundscape, it's alright, but I won't be putting it in my rotation. Me, if I don't get the sisters I do want at least Lincoln and Stella, so although they were featured I would have liked more of them still.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the other episode. I'm pleased to hear it's a Lana episode since I never look at summaries, at most the titles of episodes, and judging by the title I was afraid this was gonna be a Secret Life of Pets episode like that one way back in like season 2 where the pets cooperate to get rid of a new pet and there were barely any speaking lines. Glad to learn that isn't the case.

Zach is alright to me, I don't think he's had a bad episode. I thought it was pretty fun. The new qt is Rachel she's shown up a couple times before. First time was that episode where it was Lincoln and Clyde vs Zach and Rusty in the friendship thing.

You've got an amazingly sharp memory Rickyposter. I remember the episode you're talking about but I didn't remember her. They gave her a lot in this episode for a background character so I guess she made a stronger impression here. Anyway, like I said, I thought it was okay...for your regular cartoon. But I hold this show to a slightly different standard than that and if you've got the opportunity to make it a Lincoln episode or even a gang episode and you just hang on so tight to one of the redheads or Clyde or whatever for the entire thing, I admit, I find that a little baffling as far as creative decisionmaking goes. It's the equivalent of having a great quarterback and good recievers and doing nothing but running the ball. Though on the other hand, I do admit the premise required the protag to be a bit more of a bonehead than Lincoln could credibly act like these days, so I understand the thinking in a certain sense. Anyway, I like Zach fine enough as part of the unit but, like Lily, I think asking him to lead an episode is too much for him. It's a pleasant enough episode to watch since there wasn't a lot of BS in it, no nails-on-a-chalkboard feeling like some eps I can name, I can admit that, but I thought it could have made better use of the supporting cast.

By the way, it's great to see you and talk to you dude. Glad to see you're doing well. Have a cute Ricky/Becky screenshot, on me.

Thanks, man, and I don't doubt it. But listen, I can't hold it. I pounded two energy drinks for the premiere and I don't want them to wear off until I've really gotten my TLH fix, so I'm gonna watch an episode that's new to me in the meanwhile: the ones from two weeks ago that I missed. Don't know if I'll write proper reviews for them since I don't know if anyone wants that, but regardless, I want to absorb the vital Loud House essence while I'm at maximum cellular receptivity, you understand Rickyposter I'm sure. Anyway, I admit, it's my fault for not being on time for the premiere anyway, especially since an anon was nice enough to give me proper link to view it to boot. My fault. Luckily I'd been saving these for just such an occasion in case I happened to fuck up, good I planned ahead! See you soon lads.

I just finished those episodes from last week. I don't know when they officially released or leaked or whatever, I remember people talking about them a few months back. I really have to say, I thought both of them were really good. Damn, those two cousins are really into each other. "Lincmonday, Linctuesday, Lincwednesday", Shelby sounds like me, lmao. That hug with Aunt Sharon was pretty almond activating as well. Anyway, yeah, Shelby and Lincoln actually have some pretty decent chemistry together, INFINITELY more chemistry together than they had in their debut at Lance's place, think it was a Christmas episode or something, that one was so lame. I was surprised. Pretty damn good episode. The sisters were decently featured as well, I love how they all helped out, dug Lynn's roller derby scene; cool environment and Luan was majorly funny in the park play. I remember not really digging that episode where, uhm, the little male cousin with the broken arm looks up to Lynn and he visits, but this one was actually good, so I guess these characters aren't a total drag, at least Shelby isn't, and Lance and Sharon are okay too.

As for the second episode, good too, but man, they've really softened Lynn, perhaps due to fan demand? Two things stood out to be about this episode. One is that they gave Lynn Jr. a...Well, you know how Luan and Lynn Sr. have cooking in common? I guess they needed a fitness kind of mentor for Lynn Jr. to look up to have these stories with, so they gave her her uncle. Their interactions were not bad.
>>
>>155616763
Speaking of softening Lynn, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It's interesting the metamessage would have us believe she was being immature and overeager in this ep when she's acting SO mature and being such a good personal trainer, and so gentle and dedicated with these doofuses, taking time out of her day to make sure they don't fuck up and be weak or stupid or lazy. It was really on them and I'm not even saying that because I like her better, I mean it straight up. Lynn did nothing wrong here. The way I heard other anons tell it, I thought it was going to be like the 'bad winner' episode, I thought she was gonna be like some nut in a Jason mask, really trying to terrorize their asses into fitness, but it wasn't like that at all.

Heck, she was actually really sincerely trying to get down to their level instead of forcing them up to hers, which is what I had initially expected. But it was nothing crazy, being pretty gentle, taking time out of her day to coax them into fitness and being better and shit instead of just getting fast food and cheese snacks. This is the kind of trainer you dream about, frankly, someone sincerely dedicated to your fitness but not a psycho. Meanwhile, I felt like fucking Drill Instructor Hartman on her behalf, I was losing it with these dickweeds. Seymour can't lift the bar plus five pounds? Alright. He can't lift the bar? Okay, he's an old man, that's understandable. But do you expect me to believe he can't do one lousy rep with a dry pool noodle? Seymour you're a disgrace, get the fuck off my bench press! Goooooo! I don't know how Lynn contained herself. Classic Lynn would definitely not have been able to contain herself.

Anyway, like I said, I dug them. I thought both had a really good vibe and made for some comfy watches. But damn, I really don't know what Luan sees in Benny.
>>
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. As is my way, I will post a screenshot of a never before seen (to me) qt that really jumped out at me when she appeared onscreen. From the Lynn episode two weeks ago but I just saw her now. Also for your enjoyment runner qt in the same frame.

I tried joining the The Loud House Wiki Discord but they haven't approved me yet. I know that's one of the few places where I can actually discuss The Loud House and The Casagrandes without encountering the very inappropriate nature of a board like /co/. In fact, it's still sometimes difficult for me to even browse /co/ since even up to a year or two ago I would have panic attacks. I might just have to watch The Casagrandes Movie by myself.

Not as good as seasons 1-4, still better than pretty much any cartoon being produced right now, although that's obviously just my opinion. Sometimes some people get mad when I say that but I don't think it's too controversial to say cartoons are in the deepest, darkest hole they've ever been in at present. The only shows made in the modern era that I sincerely think are good either only have one season so far (Wylde Pak) or completely imploded in s2 (Molly). Cannot remember the last show that had three good starting seasons, though I've heard good things about Greens.

As for the show's eras, I would say s1-4 is the golden age where the show knew exactly what it was, all scripts were approved by the creator himself, etc. 5-6 was a kind of confused era where they sent Lori went off to college and Lincoln's friends got a lot more focus, some people still rate them higher than the recent seasons but they weren't my favorite, though I did watch them and enjoy plenty of the episodes. In my opinion, ever since the road trip arc that opened s7 and was Louds-only, I feel the show has, to a certain extent, come back into it's own in the sense it's somewhat rediscovered it's central premise and put more focus back on the sisters and family. They're all worth watching unless you're so selective you renounce all modern cartoons, which in my opinion is fair enough, but my personal rating is s1-4 golden age, s5-6 bronze age, s7-8 silver age and not sure about s9 since it's not finished yet but I've enjoyed it about as much as 7 and 8 so far.

What the absolute fuck is that sauna scene?
>Everyone wearing clothes
>instead of having higher seats where it's hotter, there's a depression for sitting where it's coldest
>people sitting in that coldest place are wearing less clothes
Does shit like this exists, or have the boarders never been to an actual sauna?
>>
>>155618299
Do you remember when, in the very first episode of "The Loud House with The Casagrandes" (Friended!), Carlota made a comment about babysitting Adelaide? Why was an episode with that premise never made?
>>
>>155618332
WTF does this have to do with my sauna observation?
>>
>>155618600
Because you notice and analyze details others might not, in a similar manner in which I do.
>>
>>155618299
What are you, some sauna expert over here? I assume in the bottom of the center of the indent is where the coals are so near the center would be where it's hottest. 'Coals'. Whatever. The hot rocks you pour water over to create steam, which is what the wooden bucket with water nearby is for. That's how I read it anyhow.
>>
>>155618718
>What are you, some sauna expert over here?
He very well may be, I'm just wondering why this is the only "Carlota/Frida" in the entire series.
>>
>>155618718
You don't need to be an expert, you just need to remember 4th class science about how hot air goes up or have gone to a sauna at least once. Saunas don't work on infrared, they work on hot air and humidity. The hottest place is up top, not near the heat source. And wearing stuff in a sauna feels disgusting. I know they can't show nude women in a kids cartoon, but they could have used steam or creative angles.
>>
>>155619536
>wearing stuff in a sauna feels disgusting
At gyms that have saunas in the US like 24 Hour Fitness, people generally just wear swimsuits, not full on robes and sutff like the ladies on the upper level, but the ones in just the swimsuits is pretty accurate.
>>
>>155619553
An American body culture thing, I guess. I honestly wouldn't even want to go if that was the case. I went a few times wearing a towel or swimsuit because we had mixed gender guests from a country with no sauna culture and it was a significantly worse experience.

The part of the body that's covered by cotton is semi-isolated, so that part of you doesn't even feel like it's in a sauna, but also is sweating and the cotton is absorbing the sweat, making you feel like your ass is on a Summer trip in a car with no AC.

Swimsuits are even worse, trapping the humid sweaty air in your trunks and simmering your balls in their own sweat. Well, maybe a small enough female bikini wouldn't be as bad since it wouldn't have pockets for capturing sweat and air.

My ten year anniversary edition Loud House comic arrived with a very slightly bent spine and I'm seriously considering ordering another just so my collection is all in perfect condition (I own a first print hardcover edition of every TLH and TCG comic they've released thus far). I've never collected anything before in my entire life btw so I feel kind of weird becoming a condition autist but still.
>>
>>155620459
You could ask to have it exchanged.
>>
>>155620791
Return window was closed by the time I noticed, I'm also paranoid the replacement might not be a first printing. I would prefer to keep the one I have in addition to obtaining a perfect condition one just in case, for the purity of the collection. And yeah, if you suspect I barely know or understand what first print means, you're right, but all I know is I've bought each book as soon as it's come out so no one has earlier editions than me and I mean to keep it that way.

Masked Halloween parties where Lincoln and Lynn don't realize it's each other they're making out with, in the darkness...You know, I'm really fond of that type of concept. Some type of coincidence or event that allows the wool to fall away from the characters' eyes and lets them see each other for the first time, and admit to a romantic feeling or desire for the other they might not have ordinarily acknowledged (but was nevertheless always present). I'm really a romantic at heart, quite honestly.

Seeing as someone else mentioned the animated Christmas movie, I wonder if anyone has that screengrab of Lana holding back a ferocious Lola after Lincoln hits her with a snowball? I used to have it but I moved computers. On certain frames I think it's positively baroque, like a painting that might be titled 'Man Fights To Restrain His Violence' or something like that, that type of idea. Actually, the story I heard (keeping up with all the backstage stuff, TLH fanatic that I am, but this is something the Lisa actress also mentioned in a pic she posted while filming, something like 'when you only get hired to do ten episodes but they decide they want more') the whole live action thing was, from what I can gather, only initially intended to be a ten episode mini series, sort of a special premium event thing for paramount plus, which is probably also why it looks so good and is shot in a traditional film style instead of like a cheap sitcom the way the FOP live action show was shot or the way it's usually done with Thundermans and stuff like that, and why it features *at least* one majorly famous licensed song in every episode. They only got extended to make a proper twenty episode season as they were already in the middle of filming, when execs saw how well it was coming along, which then became extended further to commissioning ANOTHER live action movie and another full season of the live action show, and of course since they couldn't cheap out and change the way it was shot after they already had a bunch of episodes filmed without it causing an obvious problem, the high visual standards ended up being maintained throughout the whole run, thankfully. I also have little doubt they would have gotten a (probably final, due to the aging out thing) season 3 as well but the writer's strike started right after their first break as they were starting to film s2, as in, there were picketers outside that interrupted the fiming of the first episode of s2 (article about it in the local Albequerque newspaper), so they halted production. Then the writer's strike escalated into the actor's strike which extended it even longer.

We're lucky after all that they still managed to come back and shoot season 2, but it definitely aged them in the meantime, since there's months long breaks between shooting as it is alongside the time it takes to film- it's not like they shoot every season back to back to begin with. Anyway probably it was that strike that cost us season 3 and it's not like any exec could have accounted for something like that, so it's hard to put that on them, and there's no way you could have gotten a five year show out of it anyway since the casting was actually faithful enough to get actors close to their characters' ages, at a time when they grow up fast.

At the same time though if the live action show had just been a bunch of young looking actors rather than actually young actors just for potential long term shit, frankly I don't think it would have been nearly as good. Actually, the faithful casting *was* what got me to start paying attention to the live action. The fact that the actors were originally just signed for that one-off Christmas movie I think meant that the casting director
(Sheryl Silverstein, I looked for her in the credits since I was so impressed with her work) didn't have to worry about any of that stuff and could just get the best talent available for the parts, which definitely showed. TRLH boasts better and more faithful casting than pretty much any big Hollywood adaptation of a comic or cartoon of recent times- zero stuntcasting, zero bullshit, just actors that truly look like the animated characters and can play the part, along with a lot of care put in as far as setdec, warddrobe etc. It reminded me a lot of the original Addams family movie in that sense. Good show. Not perfect, but good. I unironically have a lot of respect for TRLH. I feel like it pretty amply demonstrates how almost the only way you can make anything good nowadays is by a series of lucky coincidences and just making it the best you can at the time.

Actually, the actresses playing Lisa and the twins were older than the actual characters. I’m thinking they might have been planning to keep them until they can’t be passed off as younger and replaced them with similar-looking younger actors until their ages match in roughly real-time, with the original cast members playing new characters afterwards.

That musical episode was awesome. So many great bits. There was also that episode where after breaking into this mid-episode music video in the middle of the hallway, Luna kicking down the door and playing the sax halfway through it, smoke machine, moody psychadelic lighting and camera angles, all this shit, and it ends with their faces coming together in a spotlight while everything else dims into darkness, like the cover of that Queen album. Honestly this show had a lot of stuff that I really enjoyed.
>>155639456
Yeah, a lot of things went right for it I think. And I agree it had some pretty interesting, unusual dynamics once in a while as well. Remember the conflict with Zia where Lynn wanted her as a friend so she had a conflict with Lincoln where she didn't want him to ask her out? That's a pretty abstract kind of feel. Especially the way it was initially presented, how she subtly cut him off and got between them when she sensed he was about to say something to her after they'd spent that time together in the backyard at the end of that intro episode, the way Lynn looked at him. Very Julie Powers/Scott Pilgrim.

We also got a lot of great Luna and Leni interactions. Those two legit never had episodes together in the cartoon until TRLH was done airing, and they weren't quite as good. Leni was a bit more abrasive in live action, which was different but it definitely made for some good bits. The lie detector joke still makes me smirk.

The Lynn and Lisa episode was also pretty wholesome, although the cartoon had one with a similar premise before.

I admit, I preferred Dora Dolphin's Leni from the Christmas movie, since I feel she really sublimely embodied Leni's natural sweetness. Shit, she practically IS Leni. Of all the good casting done, I really think that one was peeeerfect perfect. Once in a lifetime type thing, like Christina Ricci as Wednesday (sorry to keep bringing up the Addams family movie but I really think that's the GOAT adaptation of a sunday comic strip/cartoon, and the Loud House is a sunday comic strip at heart imo.)

I know the episode you're talking about and I liked it too. I don't think the cartoon had a similar one, there was the one with Lisa as Lynn's coach but it was different thematically, dealt with how Lisa sees the world rather than their relationship as sisters. The idea of more of Lisa's secret childish side being brought out and her looking up to her competition-winning big sister and Lynn having to decide if she's going to sacrifice her time coaching and supporting Lisa through this nerdy 'sport' she finds so lame at the cost of her own practice and game time or just act the too cool for school jock to fit in with her dickish jock friends that make fun of the math-a-lon or whatever it was called and ditch her nerdy little sister's event was a good one.
>>
>>155639978
I always assume TRLH was aged up from the original series by a few years. It's most noticeable with the younger sisters.

I only resent Funko pops for making that awful style of head the default for a lot of figs but I guess if you needed to be able to sculpt heads even fewer people would have the ability to make these DYI figures than already can. Whoah, did YOU make these? I thought you got them off of instagram or something. These are *awesome*, dude. They're waaaay better than the stuff you can get commercially in terms of Funko. These environments really elevate them and you're better at sculpting poses and shapes than Funko too. Just look at the dynamism with Lynn, plus how nice her shorts, socks and shoes look, not to mention her hair blowing in the wind. Luan having a legit expression with her eyes and mouth is WAY better than Funko! She looks great! Her skirt, socks and shoes have so much detail! That's probably the best one in comprehensive terms, though Lynn's is the most exciting Luan's is just a straight comprehensive upgrade over the Funko style in every regard. It's my favorite. They're all of really nice quality though. Did you use a different material for Leni's clothes to give them that more clayish, non-reflective quality? She looks great too, and also has a living pose and cool, characteristic accesories, and really nice how you gave her her classic sandals and how bang-on they look wrapped around her feet, very convincing. With Lori, she has the most accurate and impressive hair sculpt by far out of all of them. That hair is really, really super, and I just love you gave her classic half-lidded eyes (to me, that's one of Lori's most attractive qualities). Cool pose too and the golfbag looks like a million bucks. And her earrings! A super great detail that really sets her off, without question. Finally, Lucy's hair looks great too while I'm on that topic, and Fangs just looks perfect.

What order did you make these in, if I can ask? I'm curious. These are really cool.

I think that might have been a necessary character decision. I think Leni's brand of zany airheadedness would read as actually being mentally challenged in live-action so making her a bit smarter and with a bit more edgy helped.

It's rare that I'm so firmly negative on a subject regarding TLH but I need to get it off my chest: I loathe what they did with Eva's depiction of her, it's like a subtle 180 against the cartoon version in my eyes because they play fast and loose with her motivations.

Instead of her earnestly enjoying being kind and making people happy, it's a "part she has to play", and there are a number of cases where it seems like she even gets a sense of satisfaction from being abrasive when she feels like she has an excuse, like with the lawyer bit. On top of that, the mistakes she makes are less ditzy and more careless. Like forgetting her little sister alone at the mall. I know in the cartoon she's had times where she's made mistakes or gotten mad, that's fine, she's a human being, but I don't see Eva Leni as the same thing. I don't understand the praise for the changes when it's near universally hated in other naive characters, they may as well have replaced her with an ostrich.

Rant over, sorry if this seems directed at anyone in particular, if you like it that's fine, just...man. I really hate it and the motivations behind it too. Maybe I'm just reading too deep into it and being hyperbolic, I've not watched a lot of TRLH. Sorry again it just really grinds my gears.

Or maybe something with Luan, them staring into each other's eyes, standing, her legs wrapped around him as he's holding her up and her skirt bunched up at her waist mid-coitus. Lori's southern outfit is cool though I'm wondering what you might give Luna.

>>
>>155647474
Even out of it's golden era it's still a damn good comfort show. I know that word has taken on kind of a ghey meaning lately but what I mean is it's very cozy. The best comparison I can make for TLH, I've always thought, is imagine King of the Hill but for kids. The original King of the Hill by the way not the remake, I really can't emphasize that enough. But yeah, it's interesting how I think it's slower than a lot of modern cartoons like for example Gumball without being completely comatose like, uhh...Well, like the townie episodes of Steven Universe for example. That quality is something I especially like about it. Not to shit on SU by the way, I still think s1 of that show is a straight up masterpiece of warm, fuzzy, dream-like surrealism the likes of which has not been made before or since.
>>
>>155652453
He's usually pretty good, and this wasn't bad. He did mention Savino and that stuff. But I did like talked about negative episodes (you know the ones) but also talked positively about some episodes. He talked about the gay dads and Luna and Sam, and Clyde's early crush on Lori. He actually was very balanced on it , saying how it worked was well done, and that the show doesn't do it anymore. But he did mention fan base stuff like a reading part of a fanfiction based on NSL and Loudcest. He also talked the show being milked like having a spinoff, movies, live-action stuff. He also says he doesn't think the show online hate will last forever because like Teen Titans go hate has dropped. He also mentioned that stupid long fanfiction thing, and that crazy one guy who wanted the Loud House to not age up. He didn't liked Schooled, which I'll disagree with, but nice to see someone talk about something new on these things. I think it was more even handed and fair versus others, like Saberspark's was trash. But anyway, don't watch internet reviewers.
>>
>>155653202
Yeah. I love kitbashing. I know it's not the same, but I feel like 3D printing is just, like, physical AI art. Like, yeah, it takes skill to make but then it's so mass produced. At least with mine they're all unique. As far as I'm aware, all the Pops I've made are ones that Funko has/will never make, and not even customizers have made. At the very least, if any customs have been made, mine are better and/or were made first. Haha.

Sorry, I haven't actually seen the specials with her in them. I think I'll be watching them this year, I hadn't caught them on TV at the time, and not online since I don't have it anymore. I will say I think she's got the right look for it, and the fact she's a fashionista irl helps a lot. IIRC, it was the actress herself (Eva) who pushed for the changes, so hopefully I will like Dora's take on her more. Sorry I couldn't give you a more interesting answer.
>>155653479
Thanks for summarzing this and saving me a lot of time. I don't like watching the cartoon community talk about the show either, too much whining. It sounds like he just threw that fanbase junk in there because that's what keeps the haters hooked in and that's what a lot of the cartoon community viewership expects at least a bare minimum of. But I agree the hate will die someday, to the IP's benefit. Yeah saberspark's was just rubbish.

The answer doesn't need to be interesting, Lenianon, just truthful! To clarify, Dora only appears in the first movie, A Loud House Christmas, which was what led to the live action show and the second live action movie. But in any case you're definitely in for a treat. I think Dora was the absolute perfect Leni. She truly is the character come to life; no joke, I was impressed. How she was written, how Dora portrayed her. A real delight. I don't think anyone could have done a better job. I have a big, big soft spot for that first live action movie in general actually; I've watched it at least three times. Extremely comfy film, despite it's limitations. Oh, and you're right near the best season to watch it, too. Hopefully you enjoy it, Leniposter.
>>
>>155654489
>>155654144
Oh yeah, I should emphasize that it's not like I think the Christmas movie is a great or even very good movie, but I do think it's good for what it is and moreover a pretty amazingly authentic live action adaptation of something for Hollywood to make in current year (or, frankly, any year), so it gets a lot of bonus points from me on that front. I don't mean to pump your expectations too high so I should be clear it's only pretty good cinematic comfort food, that's all. My only complaint with it really is that I wanted more of the sisters, which was satisfied by TRLH, though sadly with a different Leni than the one I have such regard for. Oh yeah, and you should try and watch it on a good screen if you can. The colors were flat on my old laptop but it looked pretty nice on a desktop imac monitor.

Fun fact: A Loud House Christmas was the most watched non-educational children's telecast of it's year. If I remember right it got better ratings than the Oscars that year. Personally, I knew it was going to be a hit the moment I saw the casting poster. I even wished I could have bet money on it I was so sure. Though not even I imagined it would be to the extent there'd be a full-on multi-season live action counterpart running alongside the main originator cartoon at the same time, as far as I know that's never happened before in the history of animation. Pretty surreal.

Oh trust me dude, I'm aware. I was blown away too. In fact, I don't like to admit this but whatever, I did go to tiktok just to be able to see some backstage stuff and the first few videos for the show that came out had loads of zoomers commenting in stunned disbelief that the cast was so good looking, like they'd never seen something like that before. And they have a point, there isn't ONE ugly or unaesthetic actress among the sibs. They're all pretty. I can't remember the last time anything on TV had such a good looking cast, especially a show full of women. Not one attempt at 'challenging beauty standards' or any BS like that. Heck, even the boy; he hardly ever showed up in the backstage stuff but there's this one video where he briefly appears and shakes the Leon Kennedy bangs out of his super-blue eyes and you should have seen the comments section. That was some thirst. Oh yeah, and this one chick replying to literally every single comment screaming about how he's a minor, fucking lol. In all seriousness I wonder when we as the public got used to ordinary looking people on TV shows and movies. I remember a time when even the background actors had to be pretty. The Smallville days.

I don't pay attention to cartoon reviewers but that 'crazy person' was right, he saw things clearly. The timeskip and moving Lori out of the house was definitely a mistake, as evidenced by the fact they ended up bringing her back (which I do give them credit for, being stubborn would have been even worse). Obviously it was a mistake which it was able to tank but I still think it was damaging to an extent. The original Loud House was a perfectly calibrated chemical reaction wondrously engineered; every sib in the house is perfectly conceived to have role in the overall mechanism of it that makes the show so fruitful, and their ages were decided on for a reason too. Think about it: Lincoln's age means he can have school stories with both Lucy and the twins, THREE characters, that's a lot of hay for plots. Nothing needs to be said about having four of the girls in highschool either, I still think that was a rich vein they didn't tap while Lori was there. Though I do give them credit for this: making Lori aspire to be a schoolteacher and putting her back in the elementary school is an inspired way to give her the possibility for stories with Lucy and the twins and weaving her back into the day to day of the family as much as possible. Actually, fortifying her presence like they have in these three seasons is something I've really appreciated.

Anyway, I think the more you analyze the original structure of the show the more immaculate you realize it is. I've always admired it for that. I always say even most of the people that like TLH don't really understand how good it is, mechanically speaking. Speaking purely in terms of it's premise and as a launching point for stories it is the ultimate I have ever seen. It's like a heavenly choir; the sisters plus Lincoln can cover any sort of melody or sound you could ever need, they can give you anything you want. The narrative utility is insane. Really magnificent.
>>

758 KB PNG
>>155678335
And I can prove what I mean too in practical terms: TRLH was basically a straight adaptation and used two seasons worth of stories that could have been used for TLH, and even TCG used a lot of plots that could have been used for TLH since the show's big family philosophy was also inherited from TLH. Not to mention the live action movies. And yet even with all that, TLH itself was not remotely depleted, still producing ten years later at a clip of twenty six half hours a season with no breaks in that entire time, plus movies. The show is simply a monster. Even while tearing off huge chunks of itself to sustain other shows across the course of it's run it's still never even had to take a break even all these years later. In fact at least before the merger they were deep into pitching MORE spinoffs, past the test group stage and into the series bible stage so they were pretty serious too. And they're right to do so, the cast can bear it and I would watch and I don't doubt others would either.

Well, as an admirer of cartoons that are properly constructed from the ground up for the long haul, I can't help but be beheld by it. I really think of it is as one of the wonders of the world of animation of the last two decades. People will say Spongebob is bigger and yeah, sure, SB is the biggest children's cartoon ever made, but even SB didn't have to sustain two spinoffs in it's first decade of existence (while at the same time competing against Spongebob). People have their own ghey problems with it, plus it's not like it needs anyone's approval anyway at this point, but honestly if you know cartoons you understand TLH is, well...You know, something pretty special.

The age range of the siblings is the real genius of the show. You have everything from toddlers to college-age young adults, that's fodder for just about any kid-level story imaginable. If there's a bizarre situation, there's a Loud who's just the right age to handle it.

Yeah, we're of two different minds on this, I recognize your posting style as I see you recognize mine. The only reason I made that post is that I was listening to Mark Knofpler's 'Boom, Like That' and the line struck me basically 'Everything's so perfect, even the name, heck every little thing ought to stay the same' and it summarized exactly my feelings about it. TLH is just one of those shows that came out of the womb perfect. We're even of different minds about the later seasons, you appreciate s5 and s6 for shaking things up while I see them as a disruption of a beautifully functioning status quo, at the same time you regard seasons 7, 8, 9 as stagnation while I see them as something of a return to form and the show's original philosophy which I rate so highly. Just one of those things. Two men can disagree.

Indeed. And maybe someday, after seeing them together for long enough, she might get the guts to do something. Sneak into Lincoln's room at night dressed in Haiku's clothes. Lincoln would shift as he wakes, alarmed at first, trying to make out who it is in the darkess, but relax upon feeling the familiar texture of the fishnet-clad hand trailing up his naked stomach. She'd say nothing, letting him misunderstand, her deed disguised by the moonless night...I'm sure Haiku would understand, too. In fact, knowing her, she might even help with the trick, once Lucy reveals to her best friend her forbidden feelings for her brother.

This is a LEWD PIC! An incredibly sexy lewd pic!

You got me, if this is really IconicPants. I didn't even see it, and then I saw it, and it was like BOOM! Fucking great. Dude, I *really* like the way you drew Luan's dress bunching up around her waist. A surprisingly uncommon sight in sensual art. That is soooo erotic and it looks so good. The sheen of sweat on their bodies making their bare legs glow in the outdoor western sun. It's ridiculously, ridiculously sexy, and their outfits look really awesome too; the frills and flower on Lincoln's shirt, the fringes adorning bottom of Leni's skirt, the yellow bows in Luan's pigtails. The sun smiles that it beholds this. What a sexy scene. It's a delight. And it's so original too, I don't I've seen two girls overpower and take advantage of a boy in such a physically believable way, at least not often; this is a threesome pose I really have very rarely ever seen. And like I said, you know, even a guy who's seen a lot like me was taken offguard. Damn, I really dig this. This is EXACTLY my kind of thing!

I think so. Even if it's not necessarily "your thing" (we have no frame of reference for what kind of cartoons you like, it's just generally a fun, positive, often funny show with a lot of heart. Maybe not the best or most consistent cartoon in the world, but t's very solid at being what it is, and doesn't try to be anything it's not. It has high highs and very few low lows. Lots of people say things like nah it's junk, I've never watched the show don't need to, just enjoy the girls secondhand and look at the porn, but I think that's unfair and really selling it short.

And if you're in it for cute girls and waifu shit, if that's the sort of thing you get out of cartoons, then it has quite possibly the largest quantity of that in any single cartoon ever. So many that at least a few of them will catch your eye and do it for you.

I don't like 'fixing' bisexuality in girls. Bisexual girls are highly based, especially when they're open to a f/f/m polycule (the triangle is the strongest shape in nature).

Also I prefer the idea of Luna giddily guiding her brother's dick into her girlfriend.

Interesting. I personally think it's the highest thing to seek from personal experience, since the first time a girl let me it was "Oh wow, fuck, this is like the best feeling thing ever". I mean, to each their own, people have their likes and dislikes. I mainly don't understand being against it *entirely* though, same thing with the guys who react revolted at the idea of a footjob/a woman's feet, which is not 'my thing:, but something I'll still do and accept given the opportunity. In both cases it's just a matter of they need to be clean, if they are someone with good hygiene and more so if they particularly and thoroughly clean before playtime, then all is good and I'm game. To me it's just another part of a woman to be enjoyed. The more aspects of them to enjoy intimately, the more variety, the more fun. Just my 2 cents.

Man, I was gonna get into it with you, in a friendly way of course, but then I realized it'd just turn into the 'what constitutes a filthy animal' argument from Pulp Fiction. For me it's purely a hygiene issue but it's very deep seated one psychologically: I'm thinking, how clean can they REALLY get it, you know what I mean? On the inside? In porn it's fine cuz everything's perfect and clean but in fucking real life, I don't think so, and I guess my preferences end up transferring as well to a certain extent. Probably just neurotic.
>>
>>155683046
>how clean can they REALLY get it, you know what I mean? On the inside?
Very clean, if they're not a 'filthy animal' and know how to clean themselves and be hygienic like an adult. I've always found the "poo comes from there", "If you do that, won't your dick pull out and be covered in poo" arguments to be rather silly. With mouths, barf comes from there, burps come from there, but unless the girl is actively doing that, or has one halfway up her throat, you're not sloshing in barf or burp during a blowjob. What I mean to say is much more mainstream and accepted things and techniques can also come off and start to seem really gross if you overthink them or think about them in a certain way. (And furthermore even if there actually DID turn out to be poo, like I pulled out and there was some poo on my dick, yeah I'd be somewhat upset, and it'd somewhat hurt the night and mood, but I'd just go promptly clean off and come right back. It wouldn't like traumatize me or freak me out to the point of creating a scene or something, because I'm an adult, I'd just readjust and roll with it. Not gonna ruin my night and I probably wouldn't even be thinking about it a few days later.)

Perhaps ironically, I'm generally a very clean person. I don't like body hair, BO, continuously worn smelly clothes, or just generally any slovenly habits or lifestyles in women, or in anyone, really. But I'll still fuck a girl up the ass morning, noon and night. It's beside the point.

Appreciate you being friendly in getting into it, truly.

All that being said, I can totally understand a psychological thing and not being comfortable with doing that, or any particular thing in general for that matter. By all means, you keep on keeping on not wanting to do that. I'm not trying to give you The Business or be subtly snide or anything, and hope I didn't come off that way. You really want yo girl to be a pro-LGBT queer? Peer pressuring you to go to Pride parades and respect Preferred Pronouns, gabbing you about how there are like 80 genders and all that wacky BS? (I assume you're thinking about this "in a vacuum", ideally separate from all that baggage and the weirdness of those communities and lifestyles. But nowadays, that seems more fantasy than ever. It's all so united and interconnected. As it stands IRL, I wouldn't want to touch any letter of the LGBTQQIAEPOXMMIWG2S+∞ alphabet community with a 10' pole.

An integral part of the appeal for me is that it tends to be like twice as tight and warm as the front door. Just feels incomparably good. That sure goes a long way for me, in the most base of ways.

NTA but I wanted to mention the hay before in my other comment, it goes kind of unnoticed among all the other stuff but on a close look I like how they're just slightly sinking into the plushness of it, that wreath of stalks coming up around their bodies, against their knees and Lincoln's torso. I think that part looks really cool.

This, I just don't buy the idea that there isn't a near endless supply of stories you could make with a main cast comprising of as many characters as TLH has, it's just like a comic strip. I think the potential for the IP is still huge. Nothing but an evergreen series could shrug off as many things fighting against it from near the getgo for a decade like TLH did.

Hehehe. You know man that legit got a sensible chuckle out of me, out loud, before I was even done visually processing the pic. Those are some CRAZY colors. I know people usually channel the Flintstones when they do drawings like this but this reminds me more of Thundarr or whatever that show was called with this funky color palette, that one with the triceratops that shot rocks out it's horns. Anyway Leni is extremely cute in expression and bodylanguage, though I notice you made her juggier yes indeed. Must be that caveman diet.

>Ah, dang, okay. Weird, I wonder why the one and done? I forget the reason, if maybe she had to go or something. I hope I enjoy it too.
I would assume that the network didn't move quickly enough to go from movie to series, which was probably their only wrong move that could have actually been avoided, unlike the strike. In the meantime she got hired by Disney off the back of Loud House Christmas to play the sweet, apparently oblivious girl but secret villainess supervillain character in this superhero live action sitcom they made and I would imagine her agent told her it would be better for her career and she'd get more screentime as the big villain than as one of the ten sisters having to share screentime, though TRLH is a far, far superior show to that Disney show in budget, production value and everything else. Plus this would have been when they still thought it was going to be a miniseries. She still retains a good relationship with everyone, and is especially close with the Allan twins.

No kidding. I liked her as Leni so much I checked out some of her other work. She voiced the main protagonist in this one game that kind of looks like Silent Hill or Alan Wake but for kids, it looks interesting. It was locked to the Stadia for a long while but it finally got ported to PC recently. I'd check it out if I still had a gaming rig. Might watch a playthrough of it one day anyway, the aesthetics seem good.

I'm normally too shy to make requests but opportunities like this don't come along every day. I better use my noodle here. I'll comment first tho

That outfit looks really good on Lincoln. I know that's not where most people's minds are going to go first when they see this pic but I have to say it. It's a nice look, and it's drawn well. This physique you've given him is really not bad and the way the clothes hang off the skinny frame of his body is something I can appreciate. Most specifically, drawing his shirt as tucked into his pants and the way the cloth 'physics', the way it bunches up around his waist so naturalistically in this sitting pose, I think is really interesting and visually feels very realistic. I'm kind of a details guy so when I see something cool I can't help but kind of tunnel vision to it. His look and lean, slim physique really remind me of the old cowboy movies, the way the ranch hands looked in those before everyone in Hollywood started using steroids (1982)

As for Lucy, damn, holy cow. Gorgeous. Once again, your mastery of cloth is something I have to mention, and I remember vividly bringing it up in that cookies comic because it impressed me then as now. The way Lucy's dress hugs her body is one of the standout parts of this piece. It's not overstated. It's naturalistic and perfect while also transmitting maximum eros and enticement. It's impressive. And speaking of perfect, Lucy's body is seriously just right. Petite but lithe with the subtle feminity of curves even though she's slim, this is precisely one of my absolute favorite bodytypes of all time and you are one of it's best examplars. What's there to say? She's lovely, and her lower body with the pose making her amazing little ass look so pert as she sits in his lap and that tantalizing half-peek at her panties and butt, the naturalism of it, the effortless eros of this country scene. It's another delight, IP. That torso, dude. I really like it. Fabulous work.

Okay, now I have to think of a req..You said you wanted more South House stuff, right? Fuck, have you drawn Lincoln with Lori yet? I think I might have a good one, if you want something like this that's risque but still sfw, even if I'm the type that likes full on fucking the best. Have you drawn something like this yet: what do you think of something like Lori tumbling back on one of these haybails, but cinching her heels (boots still on?) around the back of his waist, sort of dragging him so he's almost tumbling over her, maybe holding himself up with his arms, looking kind of nervous and scared while she smiles very smugly, maybe holding herself up with the back of her elbow with one hand while putting her cowboy hat on him with the other, with their faces close enough that she could lean up and kiss him whenever she wants?

Well, that's maybe more detail than you'd like. Like I said, I'm not a very good requester when I'm on the spot. Feel free to just take any part of the idea you like, if you actually like it, no hard feelings at all if not, and do whatever you want with it. I'm sure whatever you draw will be good anyway. And hey, thanks for all the awesome pics. I just got current on the /co/llection and they are some real top shelf stuff, dude.

An alternate version that occurs to me is that you could do the same pic except Lincoln and Lori are bottomless and he's straight up inside her while she heel locks him in place, maybe he's panicking warning her he's about to cum and that was her response, locking her heels behind his back so he can't pull out. Frankly, as I think about it, I think that's the version I'd like the most, but like I said, you can take or leave anything you want about the req.

lipstick marks on his forehead, cheeks, mouth and neck. picture should be black and white except for the kiss marks, which are colored by each sister's iconic color. (lucy is black, lola is pink, etc). of course im a huge lucycoln so black lipstick should be....abundant.

Caught the new episodes earlier. Wondering why no one was really mentioning it but apparently they leaked earlier in the year. What a way to spoil the fun of premieres.
I liked the cupcake episode. One of the better episodes starring the mortician's club in my opinion. I appreciate when they each contribute a bit individually instead of moving like a mob or hivemind. Bertrand's screenplay sidequest was fun and we had a nice little moment with Huggins of all characters. Not a halloween special, but a decent start to my spooky month.
Leni episode was swell as well. Of her boyfriends, I prefer River as a character to Gavin. The former has a bit more going on than the latter. I dont think I could really describe Gavin as a character if you put a gun to my head. Leni's little ethical dilemma was a neat little conflict and seeing her try to play both sides was funny.
Also, have this, the cutest of Haikus. It will save your life down the line.

Damn. I just finished Hobblin The Gobblin and the Fruit Dispute. I think you guys are pretty heavily underrating these episodes but at the same time I'm so glad nobody told me they were so good so I didn't go in with inflated expectations. Goblin, whatever, I know Kevin Sullivan MUST feature the supernatural in his episodes but that shit didn't come until the very, very end, like the last five seconds, so I was easily able to treat it as a 'Lucy and her dorky friends' superstitions' episode and in that sense it was such a good time.

First of all, I LOVE going back to the elementary school. I truly, truly love it. I can't tell you how pumped I was to see Mrs. Johnson with a speaking role again, cute-ass Nurse Patty, even a brand new qt in Super Nintendo Chen. Her outfit could have used a little something extra, maybe a pencil skirt, but the woman herself was cute, and I even like her slightly undone office shirt for a top. Very good looking episode; good looking side characters, good looking environment, and good looking main cast. The pleasant, carefree sunny atmosphere was on point, and it even had good jokes to boot. What a marvelously pleasant time, spending the afternoon with Lucy. Like I said, even the comedy was on point without being completely bonkers. Some decent gags like the redcarpet leading into a grave in the middle of the hallway that the kids immediately dump wheelbarrows of dirt into when the two fall in. 'I better eat this cupcake now since I have to teach the kids about eating healthy in half an hour.' Persephone's Mary Poppins umbrella flight in the background after stealing the muffin. The short one pushing his hair down to mimic Lucy's bangs when he does her voice. A few other nice ones; it never got boring, the dialogue was always good imo. Them using the word 'normies' twice also made me laugh. That fabulous shot of Haiku when she plays the innocent and opens her eyes wide (I'll post it later).
>>
>>155723730
New girl, too, the one that got her muffin stolen. Not as exciting as Chen but not bad. Though I did notice they reused Girl Jordan for gym class; I was going to speculate she must have gotten held back, lel, but no, I've seen her in middle school, they just needed a character in the gym outfit and the model already existed.

Complaints? Damn, nothing. Except the magic I guess. This is one of the best Lucy and her friends episodes thus far imo and I normally really don't like them at all, except for that one where they have to bury the school rooster which I thought was really good. But seeing Principal Huggins again, man, all that nostalgic stuff, being back in Royal Woods Elementary for the full episode, seeing the coach again, it was really a great feeling. I really like these characters and I really liked the mood. They're all honestly diamond tier compared to the middle school staff. Even a mid-range sister episode that doesn't feature Lincoln is so effortlessly pleasing to watch. It's episodes like this and the Leni episode that followed it that remind me why I'm so averse to new cartoons. They're just not this good. They don't make you feel like this. I really want the stuff I watch to be at least this good if I'm gonna take time out of my day for it.

Like I said, maybe I'm just beheld because I thought both episodes were quite good so to actually have an actual uniterrupted half hour of quality, feel-good cartooning has got me up in the clouds. Good ones. These sister episodes are really the stuff, man, second only to family episodes, this is what it's all about. Hey, did you know practically all of Lucy's friends are voiced by a sister? Boris is Nika Futterman, Persephone is Cristina Pucceli, and I forget who is Lara Jill Miller. I really enjoyed that. I think I enjoyed it more than the average Lincoln and his friends episode because it was fresher and the elementary cast gave it a big, big boost, too.

On the subject of the Leni episode, that's another one where there's definitely a lot to talk about. First, on qt watch: the ice cream seller lady. Alright, let's focus now on the episode itself. Again, me being me, I couldn't help but wish Mariella was a little more glamorous and hotter. She kind of reminds me of the mayor, same voice type even. But apart from that, and Leni's boyfriend wearing toe shoes (man I hate that shit), the whole thing was absolutely a blast. Leni is *hilarious*. Damn, she really is one of the funniest sisters when she has to actually lead an episode. A nervous Leni really is a cute Leni! The cutest!

To have an episode that was straight up all Liliana Muny and Leni didn't have to share the spotlight with some friend or anybody, all the comedy had to come from her, and to see her deliver, it was really...I mean it really just goes to show how good these characters are. I've said it before and I'll say it again, each and every one of the sisters would be the undisputed #1 waifu on any lesser show, so to have them all jampacked into one cartoon is a true embarassment of riches, it's what gives the show so much class I think, among other things, and just simply places it a cut above shows with lesser casts. She cracked me up and endeared me to her the entire episode, I honestly couldn't have loved her more, I feel. This must be one of her best outings or at least her most affection-inducing, as far as in an episode that doesn't feature another Loud.

By the way, those protesters are lucky they have Leni in the front row, because if I was Flip, I'd turn the hose on those motherfuckers the second time they came around. But I could never bear to douse Leni, so those dickheads are smart.
>>
>>155723775
The screenshots and animation in this episode was also excellent. There were a ton of glamour shots, not just in the actual pictures taken while she was modelling, but just walking around. The sequence when Leni's trying to do math in her head, for instance, or the ultra-high quality posters getting put up, not to mention the photoshoot itself, or the glow in the dark dresses; I think Leni also does this really nice striding jump in one sequence that looks great. The animation and quality of visuals felt exceptional to me in this episode, perhaps you agree. Leni herself could not possibly have been more adorable or endeared herself to me more, I'll say it again.

Like I said, this is definitely one of her best solo outings. Leni as the lead is such a fascinating dynamic, you have to balance her ingenue with her also having to come up with a plan and it creates this really interesting contrast of an innocent having to try to use guile to navigate a comparatively (compared to her, I mean) complicated world. Honestly, I've been feeling a little ill lately, but if it wasn't for that, I'd probably be even more effusive about how much I enjoyed them. Nobody alerted me that they were both good. I thought one might be a cousin episode or something so my expecations were tempered but no, solid gold sister eps, both of them. What an awesome evening. I'm gonna honor it, I'm gonna watch the episodes again on mute (so as not to wear them out) and post my favorite screencaps, both of these were pretty rich with them.

Those dragonfruit belts really reminded me of fruit by the foot, anyone remember that? Do they still make it? And where do you stand on the ethics of dragonfruit belts? I thought to myself, damn, it's food you can wear, how much more sustainable do you want it to be?

Actually, when all I'd seen of this episode were a few screencaps here and there, I actually thought the dragonfruit belts were going to be the compromise option that ends up being better than the original, and that the episode was going to be anti animal leather instead.

Anyway, Leni's fucking hilarious, I love her, this show is awesome and so were these premieres. I feel like I just took a huge drag off a canister labeled 'good times'. I'm so comfy and feel so good. You gotta keep in mind I missed the Lana episode last week and only watched the Zach one, so I've been jonesing for some serious high quality Loud sibling action, and man, did I get it. Top shelf. Both of these episodes are getting put into my permanent rotation. Good, good shit. Only thing better are the straight up family episodes, but as far as tier 2 Loud House, they don't come much better than these, especially that Leni episode. She is awesome.

I think in the top one they blew their creative load on having Lola be a spider and Lana a fly, which is admittedly a good one, and that's why Lori and Leni have the same costume. They're also missing one, I remember Lola dressed as the statue of Liberty and Lana was something else, and they were also Salt and Pepper shakers (the whole thing was a scheme so they could hit the same houses three times, lel). Luan dressing as Mr. Coconuts is clever, seems like the kind of thing she might do, weirdo. Most aesthetic? Mistress of the night vampiress Lori and mad scientist Luan, imo. Lori's is definitely the sexiest anyway, unless you're a mermaid Lola kind of a guy. For live action, the mad scientist one for Luan was so good they just got it straight from the cartoon, same with Marie Antoniette Leni, but the best original one is definitely haunted doll Lola. Oh, if you like spooky things, they also had her and her sister dress up like the twins from The Shining for a Lincoln nightmare sequence, that was a good one too.

Damn, I keked again. I forgot that the lead up to the sweet and innocent face was also funny. Yeah, she's alright. I think the other one that got her muffin stolen was a little cuter though. But Chen was the cutest. If she dressed herself a little better, she might have something going. Not a bad looking woman. What do you think?

Chen wasn't too bad. Very business casual attire for a superintendent making a visit. I liked when her hair started to get messy after falling into a few traps. Plus 1 point there. If you told me she was related to Principal Ramirez I wouldnt bat an eye.
As for the girl who got her muffin stolen, that would be Lauren Patterson's self insert. Simple, but incredibly cute design.

That went by way too fast for me to notice which I'm kind of glad for. While it's a funny joke, Al Gore as shorthand for tiresome environmentalism, it's too...I don't like it. I like my cartoonland separate from reality. Heck, I distinctly remember feeling weird when Clyde mentioned Wonder Woman in the live action Christmas movie instead of some made up superhero.
>>155724518
Oh yeeeeaaahh! I almost forgot about that, damn! Isn't that so interesting how messed up hair, you know, the little lock of it sticking to the front of the face, can TOTALLY TRANSFORM a woman's appearance and feel? She had very little sexuality to her before that but once her hair got messed up it was like ooh baby, we're in business. That's such a great observation you made, I hadn't even considered it. But no, man, there's no way she's related to Ramirez. How in the world would an obviously hispanic woman named with the last name Ramirez be related to an obviously asian woman with the last name Chen, genetically? But you're right, that is a very cute cartoonified version of that girl, and I dig the design. I don't think she was dressed this cutely in the episode though, or at least she wasn't wearing the jacket.
>>
>>155724460
Not too surprising. Lynn Sr. mentioned Bill Clinton in an earlier episode. Presidents are the same as IRL.

Which means Lincoln 100% was born in George W. Bush's Limo.

So I just watched those episodes a moment ago, and... Well, I thought the cupcake one was alright. Although they probably shouldn't eat the paper part too.
The belt episode, mostly pretty good, there were a lot of good expressions and some fun jokes in it. I... do like River a little more than Gavin as well, I just hope he doesn't turn Leni into one of those "throw cake at the mona lisa to own the rich" nuts, or blows small grievances massively out of proportion. I get animals are a little smarter in the show, but human rights for raccoons just seems like crazy person stuff to me. I don't think she needs "activist" on her character resume, so the ending got me squinting but I doubt it will change the character meaningfully. Other than that and insisting on wearing toe shoes he seems okay.
>>155723775

Yeah man, I don't think there's any reason to panic, I really don't think they'll turn Leni into some annoying activist just because her boyfriend is some eco toeshoes wearing dude. I'm pretty sure it was just for comedy and the double life motif of the plot. You're right Leni is a hyper-empathetic angel who could be influenced into that but...I think she's also self-aware enough to understand when she's being annoying and would cut it out. I mean, she really didn't give a fuck in the first place and just wanted to not upset her boyfriend until she saw the actual pictures of the unhappy animals. Like I said in my post, I think dragonfruit leather belts are already pretty fucking eco friendly and I can't believe that's what they're complaining about. I really thought this was going to be about animal leather if anything. Call me old fashioned but I'm thinking, this doesn't even come from an animal and you're STILL not fucking happy? You know probably isn't that eco friendly either, perhaps we should all be nudists then. Leni first pls

But yes, she was so cute it's crazy. Frazzled Leni is just the next level of her cuteness. It becomes magnified and concentrated until you just want to...marry her. Uhh, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, rights for Nacho, I really think that's just for cartoons man, and further I kind of like it because it shows they're protesting some pretty trivial comedic things their actual world is pretty nice if this is all they've got to complain about. Remember when Joyce Crandall was going to flood their fucking town? That's actually something to protest about.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Yes, Leni does have a quality to her that is very unique among all the siblings as a lead. She's got guile enough to come up with some sort of plan when she has to, but she's not a natural liar or naturally persuasive or the best at coming up with really complex-type schemes with multiple actors so she kind of ends up on a bit of a raft when she tries to do things Lincoln's way, or better put the Loud way. Frankly put, Leni's simply a pretty bad liar and not a natural planner, which makes things kind of interesting. Anyway, even natural strategists get foiled eventually in the TLH universe but it does mean there's a certain nuance in how she ends up being portrayed when she isn't being honest with people vs for instance Lori, Luna, Luan, Lola, Lincoln or even Lucy. She's very helpless and innocent and it makes you root for her like crazy, maybe even more than I do for Lincoln because, while he's my favorite, I know he's got a backup plan and a certain level of resilience anyway whereas Leni only has that one plan and she's so sensitive you'd hate to ever see her get her feelings hurt, or see her fail, even compared to the others. She's definitely the Loud that arouses the most protective feelings in people, I think. At least that's the case for me.

>this doesn't even come from an animal and you're STILL not fucking happy?
Not old fashioned at all, it's true, like how far is it going to go? Civilization needs agriculture to survive, some amount of animal displacement is going to have to be accepted eventually.
>until you just want to...marry her.
So true, king. She makes my heart do backflips.
>their actual world is pretty nice if this is all they've got to complain about.
Good point. I guess I won't worry about it too much then. Joyce was a lot worse, for sure.
>>155726004
So a bit like Daffy, not clever enough to play a straight schemer, but lucky and persistent enough to keep eking out wins despite things blowing up in her face over and over, so to speak?
>She's definitely the Loud that arouses the most protective feelings in people, I think. At least that's the case for me.
Same here, although that's probably not very surprising. I'm glad people love the character so much they feel that way about her too.

It's fine, everyone's very protective of their waifu and doesn't want them to get character assassinated which is a fair concern in modern day, but I think TLH, well, I say this a lot since I'm often singing it's praises, but I think perhaps the show's most extraordinary quality among it's many extraordinary qualities is that it's the only long-running cartoon I can think of, besides KOTH (*not* nu-KOTH) that hasn't character assassinated anyone in the cast, though I'm sure Lynnfags will differ w/ me. Anyway, I think that's really what fucks over long-runners is when you wreck the characters since in a long runner the characters ARE the show, and if you fuck the characters you fuck the show-there's no neat post-apocalyptic setting to fall back on (although even that didn't save AT after they got through with their cast imo. That show was a long runner too, that's the kind of thing I mean)

As for politics, eh, let's not get into it, that's why I didn't get too deep into it with the other stuff either. Basically I agree with you; pretty much every single modern comfort had to be pretty painstakingly wrested from nature's cruel hand and man lived in what I consider to be pretty abysmal conditions before that. The idea of 'let's all just live on water and bread rations to save the earth' does not work for me and I don't mean to be glib but that seems to be what a lot of this stuff philosophically seems to boil down to.

I wouldn't even say she's lucky, I would say that the world is built so that, ultimately, her best quality, her pure heart, is what ends up winning out, and people can see it and the universe rewards her for it. Everything comes together when she's true to that. That episode where her siblings are trying to teach her how to fight and scheme so she can get the dress she wants until she ultimately decides that's just not her, and a kind act she did earlier ends up being the reason she gets it is another fantastic example. Another great ep btw.

I would say it varies. The people in these threads tend to have at least some interest in the actual show, but there are subfandoms into things like sinkids (incest spawn) and people who are just in it for the porn (who also tend to be the most fervent lolifags). Most people who watch TLH are kids and fanartists, I don't think it would be accurate to say most of the interest is in fanfics taxonomically. There is a category of loud house fan that has barely watched the show but like a character or two immensely.

These interests were more derivative and concentrated; I mean, these interests aren't something foreign that can exist in a fandom, Gravity Falls is an example, only that with the passing of years and the 'little' that the show offered (already with stumbles, wear and tear and other factors in the quality and elaboration of the episodes and the IP), like a torrent these particularities have become more loudly (ironic) noticeable than the realization of the fandom in a standard or moderate way.
