It's really funny to see other peoples' perspectives on characters they latched onto. I was a ride or die Jaxfag from episode 2. I love when characters are mean to each other in comedies (Always Sunny and VEEP are two of my favorite live-action sitcoms for this reason) and the way he treats adventures is exactly how I like to act in shit like Minecraft servers and DnD campaigns. That initial attachment just made it seep deeper and deeper for me. We see Zooble decide to get closer to her in the course of the series, but at the beginning of the series we also saw a Zooble with no interest in engaging with the other players. Zooble got Gangle to push back against Jax more (ie at all), and start trying to associate with the other players more.

There's surprisingly few out there that can even somewhat match it. I tried watching that one twilight zone episode one anon claimed inspired tadc. Characters in search of an exit I think it was called. Funny enough after watching that episode it cemented my hatred for the soma theory before episode 8 even aired. There was also that episode on Black Mirror called USS Calister. That one started interesting and then ended on a bad finale. Then it got even worse with a sequel episode. let's hope tadc never falls into the same fate lol. There's also the book Permutation City I really want to give a try later. Hope it's good
