Thus, the creators like Akira, think that because he is in le land of the sunrise kingdom, that means everything must be new and arise from the new setting. However, in this instance, I am fine with Peter not being the protag. However, I think perhaps some Peter-like qualites can be given to a new protag as when you have a spider-character who comes with a secret identity and a supporting cast then you must have flaws that impact these. And when it is a male, then you will have some variant of hot-headedness or rash judgement as men are hardwired to be that most of the time. I say that as a man, because I think you have to be willing to move fast onto opportunities/"prey" and attack swiftly the problem of how to get this opportunity/prey. I dunno that's vague and broad but when you boil down a character you have to see the root of behavior and Peter is both broad and specific in character. That's what makes him interesting.Let's hope at least one of these series is good. But yeah the OP costume looks....bad.

These designs are horrible, who is this even for? Have they given up on trying to sell comic books to zoomers since they would rather just read Jujutsu Kaisen or some shit instead? These characters are a lot closer to the ones in My Adventures With Superman than anything currently being published in Shonen Jump, which I assume is the audience they want. That Punisher design is especially fucking awful, completely boring and not intimidating in the slightest.
