The Noah Hawley backup story has obvious ai slop dialogue and narration on every page. Comics are fucked.
What makes this AI slop? Seems just bland to me
>>155678571It's similar to the bendis back-and-forth stuff, but full of non-sequitur stuff.Say something bland. Repeat the bland thing. Add a lame joke. "You said he smelled like motor oil." "He smelled exactly like motor oil." ""And old spice, somehow, don't ask me." "You're fussing." "I'm not fussing." "you straightened my shelf four times." The narrated bit at the end. AI fucking loves shitty similes. He can't just sit quietly. He has to sit quiet "the way ou sit with an old coat, familiar", then adding a little stinger that adds nothing. That's just half a page. The entire story is jam packed with that kind of stuff, and it sticks out like a sore themb.
>>155678535The dialogue is weird but probably makes more sense in context. The narration in the end is almost certainly AI.
>>155678571>I don't like it so its current thing I don't likeSimple as.
>>155678735Makes kinda sense. Peter should know who Mysterio is. It didn't make sense he wouldn't know the real name of a criminal, he fought semi regularly.
>>155678821Uncle Barry's got dementia.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZK4m2yCLKU/?hl=enNoah Hawley, who wrote this, saying1. "I could use AI to write an episode of Law and Order or any other well known franchise and no one could ever tell" and 2. "Oh yeah, I use AI all the time as a tool. It's just like how using CGI in a movie isn't cheating."
>>155678821Uh anon Peter not knowing Mysterio's identity and unknowngly connecting with him on a few occasions is an established thing from years if not decades ago. I think Peter David came up with it but I could be wrong.
>>155679165Wait really? I could swear he called him beck at least once, though can't find any page or moment where he said it.That's still a weird thing, Noah knowing a specific detail like that but ignored a lot of things>Peter not caring about Gwen nor wanting her back (I remember this from the offer that hobgoblin 2211 made to peter)>Peter already said like 80 final goodbyes to Gwen>No mention of Mary Jane
>>155678535It doesn't seem like AI, it seems sort of bland but that's all Spider-man stuff. >>155678910That doesn't prove anything.
>>155679664Meta details like "Would Peter know Mysterio's first name is Quinten?" aren't smoking guns. That's what you'd expect from an outsider who has never written a comic book in his life. Presumably, the broad strokes of the story were from Hawley, but that rough outline was fed into an AI. It spat out a comic book script--a shortcut he'd want to take since as he said in the interview, he uses AI as a tool all the time--and kept it.The prompt would be something like "Okay, next page. Aftermath of his freakout. Peter is talking to the nurses, and we get a shot of old man Mysterio looking at it from his bedroom."
>>155679739> That doesn't prove anythingDisagree
>>155679739As someone who makes a living publishing ai slop fiction from claude, it's obviously ai. But also makes me think that I shouldn't have been trying so hard to rewrite the outputs into a more human sounding voice if most people just don't pick up on it.
