>December Impact - Nearly 500,000 Fewer Copies Sold

>The absence of an Absolute Batman issue in December takes almost 500,000 copies out of comic store sales for the month, according to sales revealed by writer Scott Snyder in an interview on the Casually Comics podcast, who told the podcast that’s where sales on the book have been running.

>The hiatus for December comes after Absolute Batman #24, which was released in September, and Absolute Batman #25, a 40-page issue that will release October 28. November sees Absolute Batman: Beyond Ark M, by Snyder with art by Frank Tieri, then the December break.

>Snyder and series artist Nick Dragotta continue their break in January, when a special 26th issue focusing on Barbara Gordon will be released, Snyder said on the podcast. Snyder and Dragotta will return for Absolute Batman #27 in February.

P.S. I deliberate chose this variant cover over the other 70 variant covers ones.

Of perhaps it has something to do with people buying Christmas gifts for their families in December and having no money left to spend on comic books, no? And with the enormous inflation we're experiencing right now, even the most ardent comic book fans are spending less on comics and more on necessities like rent, groceries, healthcare, and so on.
