For a comic series or TV series it can be done and paced right, but a movie? It gets very shirty, very fast, ever seen 2007 Spider-Man 3 when it was trying to run 2 A plots and 4 B plots all at once? Yeah it be that but with dozens of characters in the mix. Nevermind that Hasbro wants to sell toys so that's always going to hurt things even more and is likely the only small reason Dream Wave's and Devil's Due cross overs went so well and were received at all was because they didn't have to deal with Hasbro yelling at them to throw toys in the comics to sell.
