I really appreciate Simpsons for the tackling topic of female loneliness through her episode (as well as some of Edna's episodes). >>155703666Alright, I watched the video. Even though I knew most of it going in, it was overall very well made and highlighted their differences well. However, I don't agree the framing that Patty was always a closeted lesbian. It's not like say, Smithers, where it is clear that him being gay was a trait they developed and agreed upon early on and keep building upon it over the years. With Patty, I feel like they made a few gags about it early on and added it to her characters later as a hard fact to differentiate her from Selma. Honestly Patty is a victim of her sister having more focus and stronger characterization during the show's golden era.Now, /co/. Are /you/ a Patty or a Selma? Personally I'd say I'm a Patty because we're both emotional closed off and attracted to women.
