09/01/2026The vineyard has to be at least…THREE TIMES bigger than this! (https://youtu.be/LQc8NDKcnpM?t=72)___JOKE-OGRAPHY:1.In this Bible story (Matthew 21:33-46), Jesus tells the priests of the temple the Parable of the Tenants. The story is about a landowner who builds a vineyard and leases it to tenants. In exchange for a perfect place to produce fruit and wine, the tenants owe a portion of their produce to the landowner. When harvest comes, the landowner sends servants to collect his due, but the tenants refuse to pay, and they beat and kill the servants. The landowner then sends his son, but the wicked tenants kill him as well. At the end of the story, Jesus asks the priests what they think the landowner will do to such tenants. The priests reply that he’ll put those wretched men to a wretched death. Afterwards, they ironically scheme about how to arrest and kill Jesus, the Son of that Great Big Landowner in the Sky.2.In this cartoon, we zoom into the first verse of the parable, where the story is set up. The landowner prepares the vineyard, then declares that he’s going to lease it out. However, while, in the Bible, he leases it out to “tenants” (human renters), in the cartoon, he leases it out to “ten ants” (10 insects). “Tenants” and “ten ants” have all the same letters, but “tenants” is all one word, while “ten ants” has a space between “ten” and “ants” transforming the meaning completely. This is, as dictated by all the greatest scholars and mystics, a “sick pun, yo,” and quite hilarious.

Weak. Actually had to read the blurb to recognize the pun. Maybe I'm retarded and it isn't weak
