The "what if feelings had feelings" joke wasn't too far off.
I saw the trailer for Soul and thought "holy shit, a story about the life and work of a black music teacher set against an urban landscape, it's going to be moving and educational talking about the evolution of mu–" and then it was him getting turned into a toothpaste blob trying to get turned back while learning a stupid lesson.
Brave had to have the bear spirit subplot added to keep interest in the heroine.
The Good Dinosaur was only an autistic obsession with talking dinos but no actual story going through something like five treatments instead of telling the director it was years past its potential.
Inside Out and Zootopia both had terrible fucking premises that were only revised DURING PRODUCTION.
What all of these have in common is that they happened after Joe Ranft died because apparently he was the only non-retard in the room.

The collars made the original ZT premise heavier than Moore was capable of scripting. Sadness as the original villain for IO is directly confronted for its stupidity in the script itself. Neither of those ideas should have been greenlit without a studio higher-up objecting the way Disney did when Woody was an unredeemable egotistical asshole in the original TS treatment, except of course those two movies were produced after the stock swap that effectively put Pixar in charge of Disney.

Original Zootopia script was more intersting but would have bombed, it was the right decision. Inside Out was a pleasant suprise to me. It wasn't amazing but it delt with relavant themes for anyone watching.

Anything past that, I haven't seen, it does not interest me.
