Hey anons, I've got my Knights of the Big Top mostly built and I'm deciding on colour schemes for them.I'm doing one each in a scheme to match the main characters from the show.Most of the characters are easy enough but Kinger and Jax are presenting a problem.You see, purple was historically a very expensive and rare dye that only royalty would normally afford, and I'm doing historical wargames with these knights.It's easy enough to sort out for the Kinger knight, he will have black and white like the fur on Kinger's robe.For Jax I'm not sure, should I go for yellow and a pale red to stand in for his overalls, or yellow with a very diluted purple?I read that lesser nobility would often dilute purple dye (if they had purple in their coat of arms) to make it go further but it would make it go a dingy grey colour.I have an example of the colours I'm looking at here.
