That was ok, a lot of mysteries set up in the first three episodes. I got over the animation for the most part but when it randomly kicks into high gear I wonder why it can't always look like that. The big problem IMO is once a character is in the background they look really rough. There's a part in ep. 2 where the city is on fire and they show a squad of waterbenders putting it out and the animation and art is BAD. I like Nisha and Pavi. Jae's fine. The girls' fight in ep. 3 wasn't really built up at all though, felt weird when Pavi suddenly flipped on learning how to bend like that. Show me hot old Korra already.

Pretty great first two episodes. Twin Avatar and evil Korra are very solid hooks, and the characters and world building felt natural and interesting. Twin Aangs works really well and is delightful.

Its not really explained the nature of the connection of the avatar with their past lives. We dont know if their past lives exist independently of the link, or if they are bound to the avatar/raava and therefore affected by its destruction.
