>>155843146She was only good in her initial run in her own universe with her original creative team, and even then there were still tedious missteps caused by the Spiderverse cancer.Gutting her supporting cast, destroying her connection to her setting, losing her iconic art style, and forcibly shuffling her to 616 has done irreparable damage to the character in print. Marvel had something good that they ruined due to extreme mismanagement. Marvel crippled Kamala Khan as well, because they're genuinely shit at her job. Some characters need to be left alone to flourish; Mayday was a good example of this. She's scarcely a character in the movies, nor is she something to care about. They're fine movies, but they're not worth discussing.

Been looking stuff up online and it's a bit messy, what's Spider-Gwen's read order? What would people say is her best run? I see the Latour run is the start but what about after that? Are her film adaption really her best stuff?

Nothing, not even her name. Ghost Spider is dogshit. Peter can share the name of Spider-Man, but Jessica Drew can't share Spider-Woman? • Ultimate Wolverine: Nobody remembers him, but they moved him over, too. He was possessed by some not-symbiote and has since been forgotten, because fuck you. He has no connections or anything to tie him to the world.• Arana/Spider-Girl v2: Family? Dead. Cult? Forgotten/over. Cast? What? Spider-Gwen is dead, and it's editorials fault. Characters are more than their fucking costumes, they're stories. A character needs a long, culture-defining history (like Peter) before they can be endlessly raped and treated like nothing but a logo.
