Timmy was always mostly afraid of her sister. We don't really know how Tootie fits into the social circle at Timmy's school, his friends all seem to mistreat her, and the other girls laugh at her when she sticks up for Timmy one time after a Trixie rejection. So in some ways, Tootie is like the female version of Timmy, but lacks fairies. That's what also makes the Chloe idea such a misfire, since they had built Tootie up for that role and it would've given her something to do other than repeat the same kiss me lines to Timmy. I think Tootie was also hurt by the tonal shift of the show, it became very babified in the Poof seasons. Having Vicky wale on her sister wouldn't fly anymore, heck she hardly does it with Timmy anymore later either. So it really puzzles why Butch seemed to always end Tootie to be the eventual endgame, but balked at several chances to give her a good build up. Not that it was bad either, but Tootie won mainly because her rivals were all markedly worse by default.

How she acts as a child doesn't really matter. Timmy is not the saint you make him out to be either. But the details of their character flaws don't really matter in the end. Timmy marries Tootie, it's solved, and the only people I saw get upset at this were brown and/or had six degrees of autism in their bios.

Around the time Butch kept getting himself cancelled by rantsona youtubers, some of these people began to attack Timmy. They were so loud they even juked the ANW creators into doing it, which led to huge backlash for them, because it turns out people actually still liked Timmy and wanted to see him end up happy. Timmy and Tootie makes the most sense from a narrative standpoint. Rewarding Tootie for her positive qualities and paying off the lessons Timmy learns throughout the series. It may be a bit "Trophy Wife" as many claim but structurally it is the (second) least trophy wife pairing in this franchise. Stories involving this ship portray Timmy as a good man. You can purposefully read it as Timmy waiting for Tootie to suddenly become attractive but the fans of this pairing do not portray it that way. They also do not portray it as him just settling for the girl who likes him (cough NARUTO) but genuinely loving her.


Timmy and Vicky is built on fetish. It is the most trophy wife pairing. It usually involves Timmy growing physically imposing . Sometimes this is a punishment for Vicky. Sometimes Vickyi s uwufied to make this work. Sometimes it's just porn with an excuse to have Vicky and Timmy have sex. Tootie's existence is rarely even acknowledged in works based on this ship.

Timmy and Trixie is a more stereotypical trophy wife pairing. It is based on the idea that Trixie manages to become open about her interest in comics. This is giving her character more credit than the actual show. She never, ever openly acknowledges this. She only did it to Timantha, because she was a stranger, because it was a secret. She will never open about this with a boy and her actual opinion on Timmy is pretty shallow. That said the idea of her growing past this is compelling.
Timmy x Chloe is the actual least Trophy wife ship and the most realistic but the least interesting at all. Falling in love with a friend who you happen to be very close to and relate to heavily is just a common thing that happens. Timmy and Chloe have very little emotional friction compared to the other girls. They hold hands without even drawing attention to it. It works, but it's boring.

It feels like there were a few episodes where they dropped the ball on Tootie and Vicky's relationship or at least could have done more.

It's actually almost absurd Tootie wasn't involved in the Halloween episode for instance. She also could've been in the superhero wish episode and given a clever hero form too, or maybe end up her sister's unwilling lackey. And biggest of all was Wishology, where Timmy allies with or shows his fairies to almost every other named human besides Tootie and joins forces with her sister. The latter pretty much only would make sense if Tootie was among those the Darkness kidnapped, so it feels like that movie was crippled by some sort of rewrite (or maybe not enough). Even a few episodes that take place at Vicky's house have Tootie surprisingly absent. This show was really bizarre and not consistent with how they gave certain characters screentime over others. It's like having Krusty Krab episodes but Mr. Krabs is hardly ever there.
