>>155866772It's actually really good as far as racing games go. The only objective improvements that could be made are outside the core racing mechanics. Like better designs for the racers and their "cars", a more fleshed-out story and characters, just more places to see and go to make it feel like an actual inter-universal racing circuit. The only thing that made it not feel like peak golden age Star Wars is the lack of scantily clad alien babe drivers and grid girls.

Personally for galactic racer I'd have really appreciated a deeper character creator. Species choice, color/organic customizations, and a variety of clothing choices for each. I think it would have gone a long way in making the multiplayer more interesting than continuing to see the exact same racers as the singleplayerI'd also have really liked proximity chat while racing, being able to broadcast your voice to players you are currently overtaking. They would never include such a thing for obvious reasons but I think it would have been very cool and fun

If Disney hadn't already demonstrated how shit they were at those, I would be keeping my fingers crossed for a Clone Wars live-action series adaptation. Since that seems like the only way forward they left for themselves with Star Wars.

Maybe that the New Republic is making the same mistakes as the Old with thinking a few representatives per sector can actually hold a galactic government together, and democracy might actually be impossible across such a wide spectrum of humans, to say nothing of actual goddamn aliens.
