If you could turn a villain into a hero in the canon DC/Marvel universe, who would it be?>pic related
Mysterio is already a hero to me anon.
>>155867265Hero Mysterio would be fucking sickMy pic is either Eobard Thawne or Hunter Zolomon
>>155867265The Shocker
>>155867265The Spider-Menace
>>155867265Sandman, again
>>155867265>>155867340>>155867740>>155868032i’m sensing a pattern but i can’t quite put my finger on it
I would have continued Omega Red's redemption pic related Weapon X series started.Sadly it mostly got tossed after he massacred a village when he found out they lynched a old woman he was fond of or something (her spirit talks to him?)
>>155868544What happened with that whole subplot of him being blackmailed by Vampires?
Sandman and Rhino should be heroes. They were never evil. Just hard up, and kind of gullible.
>>155867265There's already far too many heroes in Marvel with too many classic villains getting turned heroic already. Diamondback, Titania, Janice Lincoln, Frenzy spring to mind. Take 100% of the heroes created after 2001 and make them villains.
MechanicalOrganismDesignedOnly forKindnessThink about it MARVEL.
>>155867265Stilt-Man, they even tried that a couple of times but it just can't seem to stick.I cringe whenever people try to make him edgy to compensate for his silliness, like that Iron Man arc where he was the ruler of an alien planet that tricked the populace into getting killed by his fake robots was beyond retarded. It's like they don't understand the appeal of the character in the slightest
>>155873141I know it's not the same but heroic Stiltman was in Alex Ross' mitrror universe book
>>155867265I wish we had a surviving DoomBot from the Good Doom universe trying to save this world from our Dr. Doom. I think it'd be a sick storyline to show how our Dr. Doom off against someone his equal.
>>155867265I would go with Mr Freeze, pretty much every interesting story you can tell with him as an anti-villain has already been told and he’s been pretty mediocre as a full on villain.
>>155873590You FOOL! No Doombot is Doom's equal!
>>155867306I would genuinely love to hear your rationale for Eobard.
>>155873141Stilt Man is a Venture Bros character. A bit of affectionate parody, a bit of a failure. Not everyone can or want to write a VB character.
Green Goblin as the mirror to Batman instead of the Punisher, Norman still having sociopathic tendencies as a CEO but the Goblin consciousness is his better angels
>>155868816>Diamondback, Titania, Janice Lincoln, Frenzyfemale villains are problematic
>>155867340Wish I had my own dune buggy :(
>>155873703In his, or one of, origin he originally wanted to be a hero like Flash but he was orchestrating crimes and when Barry found out that basically made him be a villainSo either A he’s apologetic and decides to be a real hero or B he decides to be a hero in order to spite Barry. Because Eobard Thawne is the most petty character in comics
>>155868412Are you saying you have a spider specific sense?
>>155867265Brainiac could work if he's actually one step ahead of a Galactus type. Brain can't stop Galac but he tracks the Herald, Herald finds a planet, Herald goes back to notify Galac, Brain shrinks a city or a few to save some people and the informaton and cultures of that planet, Galac shows up and eats the rest.
>Mysterio becomes a hero>Gets bored and invents a bunch of fake villains for him to foil while also getting rich stealing shit
>>155876920perhaps
>>155873703Him being a hero is simultaneously serving three important goals:1. It pisses off Barry who can't make sense of it. It will drive him up the wall trying to figure out his game, and Thawne responding with authenticity would cause Barry to spiral.2. It gives him a chance to feed his ego, and honestly he'd have a blast clowning on Flash's villains. Might even get better in the process. Even if self-serving, he's saving lives.3. He's creating his own canon. Up until now I think Thawne has seen his life as utterly dependent on Barry. Instead, he needs to think of it as the other way around. A superhero's growth only ever occurs because Thawne was there to make it so. The only reason Barry was able to sacrifice himself in Crisis on Infinite Earths is because of Thawne. Final Crisis, also Thawne. Doctor Manhattan, Thawne. He's an arbiter of judgement and universal. And it's time he started making Flash follow his canon. And what better way to do that than to even to take himself off the board entirely from Flash's *legal* reach. Barry wants to take a shot, he's got to answer to the League. Like when Luthor played Superman in Justice League Unlimited.Reverse-Flash would be a god tier villain/hero.
>>155868544I used to play Marvel Strike Force and they added Omega Red to the Winter Guard team, mostly for gameplay reasons, but they had a storyline with it and it was pretty cool, where he begrudgingly joins and ends up liking it. He suited being a hero.
>>155867265Rhino, Abomination, or Bane
>>155878477Secret Six calling your name. Not hero Bane, but definitely closer in that direction.

>>155877449>Mysterio you can’t do that>Well I’m bored and I don’t know where to find villains!
>>155882553>>155877449>villains illusions disappeared one day>villains became real.>no one can stop them!
>>155867265bro is chiseled AF
>>155884389Mysterio takes his fitness seriously. He wears a skintight suit after all
>>155878265All right, you've convinced me, even though it seems like he's still villainous at heart and this would just be furthering his agenda. I still like it.
>>155877449>>155882553Mysterio is so much fun and it annoys me how little he is used.No Ultimate doesn't count.
>>155867265Vladimir Putin, especially after Cap was whored out to Mephisto.
>>155868768>Sandman and Rhino should be heroes. They were never evil. Just hard up, and kind of gullible.Sandman was a good guy for a while, and Rhino's had a few face-turns in the past.
>>155885733Makes sense. That is rather sensible of him to do.
>>155874614They already turned Norman into a hero though.
