I really despise the whole Ark M storyline because it gives Batman's rogues a hell of a lot less agency. I absolutely adore both Bane and Scarecrow's arcs and how they were characterized here it's simply stellar stuff but they just feel like elevated elite henchmen for rich evil demon Joker who wants to experiment on humans to uhhhhh do something vaguely sinister and horrifying. The whole Batman vs rich people thing only really peaked woth the Court of Owls because beyond body horror the whole inhuman mega lab or whatever just feels a tad bit too much

Same applies to Midnight Fantastic Four. The personalities mostly match extremely well (except for Batman's villain friends they all seem pretty shallow) and some depictions like the ones OP mentioned, Batman and so on are some of the best most true to character versions of them we have had in years (even if that doesnt say a lot)
