Cormac story would be more interesting if he was just some dude, and may is natural drawn to him because mac reminds her of Ben. All while still alienating peter naturally. Pauls story would have been more interesting if memorie manipulation was involved. I guess they are worried about the whole rape thing with mj, but how can we be sure mac isnt going to rape aunt may? We can't be can we?
>>155888226>kelly is a gwenfagAnd everything clicks.>prefers Ric for post-Uncle Ben Aunt May lovesIs he going out of his way to have shit taste?
>>155888798>>155888802It's just the inherent urge of superheroes and supervillains alike to make everything as pointlessly complicated and dramatic as possible. I get that you need some drama to have any kind of story but this is just stupid because they're acting like May's love is a finite resource and there's only enough for one of them, and they're not even little kids, they're grown-ass men.
>>155888753> Felicia acts like she doesn't even like or have any chemistry with Peter.Because Marvel is making Felicia a de facto lesbian. It's not rocket science, this has been broadcast as what's coming up on years now.

I hope Ric dies. Unless there's someone I'm forgetting or haven't read about yet, he has got to be the worst of May's love interests.
>>155889031He's Kelly's favourite, so little chance this run.Hopefully we'll see the last of him and his whoopie soon. Maybe Kelly will do a Paul where they kill off a deeply loathed character in a heroic way to poopoo us again and let them pretend there was dignity.Of course by now Aunt May would have racked up quite the bodycount, someone might be investigating her for all those deaths.
And where are Ben and Kaine in all of this? I would assume if either of them knew about this situation then faces would start getting removed.

>>155889238They have fully side-swiped everything Norman did for Raimi's Goblin, they really fucking love Dafoe. And I don't blame them, but they are supposedly writing the same continuity of ASM. They should not be friends, this is not subversive, this is just absurd.
>>155889031>Otto>Nathan>That one criminal guy from before she married Ben>Willie Lumpkin>Jarvis>Jonah SrYeah Ric is by far the worst. Nathan gave Peter a hard time too but he wasn't this much of an ass

>>155889309I feel Kelly forgot he has to give Ric some other purpose and character beyond blame and guilt Peter for shit that isn't his fault.Beyond y'know, not just telling his Aunt like he knows he did and should again. It would allow May to be an actual character again.
>>155889324If you were suddenly in charge of fixing Bens character, what would you do to explain the nonsense anon?Or at least this current bout of it.

>>155889388Is there a single in-universe reason why Peter hasn't told Aunt May yet?

>>155888206Oedipus complex much?
>>155889481The Oedipus complex in Kelly's run is contagious.Next thing will be MJ suddenly giving a shit about Aunt Anna. Actually might be a good thing for her.
>>155888271Melkinov's Peter is on point. Its basically classic Peter in a modern art style.
>>155889345Have him take Carnage off of Spider-Woman. Ben worse Carnage in the 90’s so going off all this Knull nonsense, Carnage would be able to restore all of Ben’s missing memories. He doesn’t need to go full super villain, Spider-Woman isn’t. Just let it be a means to an end of getting the old Ben back.
>>155888386Please understand, we don't know how to make villain designs that dont just look like symbiotes for some reason
>>155888166I’d say the best strategy is to beat the shit out of Cormac.

>>155888260She gets a 115 charges?
The Amazing Spider-Man will be good again when we hit issue #2000
>>155888765Comic went out of its way to show that Peter couldn't have shown up even a second later than he did or else Ric would have gotten the same treatment, probably have his memories of May ripped out and then done the same to May, leaving her completely dependent on him. It's also a basic rule of storytelling: It's okay to show the hero going to make plans. We saw him talking to Norman about what he needs to do. We saw him talking to Wanda and asking for help. If the comic showed him the plan he and Norman came up with or if Wanda told him how she'd help, then those plans are guaranteed to fail. Since we didn't see them, the comic can now have Spider-man surprise Cormac and the reader at the same time with his clever thinking. Wanda can come in at the last second to help cast a spell. It's basic bitch storytelling formula. That people think this is bad writing and not other shit--like Aunt May being the obsession of a supervillain millionaire is romance erotica levels of retarded--is spectacular. Amazing.
>>155889873Give me a phoned in villain for #1000 Alex.

Ive finished the animated series, and I think its the best black cat version ever. Any suggestion for comic books? I prefer her being a crime fighter instead of a thief. It makes Spider-man a fucking a fucking hypocrite.
>>155888146"Maybelle Jewel Parker"When did she had that name!? How is that even her full name!?
>>155888776Bro, the dude stole her memories of Peter. That shit ain't going to work.
>>155891989If the Maybelle name didn't exist before DeFalco's May Parker then Marvel should put Spencer back in ASM. Let him continue what he started with Norman. Norman was involved with DeFalco's character after all.
So may can have a better life with an attentive son that wants to spoil her? Sorry, what is the problem? Peter is being incredibly selfish here. If Cormac is being genuine and isnt going to sacrfice her to some blood thirsty god or some shit. What is the problem?
Ric is going to be the one to help Peter with May's memories. The way this is set up just screams it.
>>155891398That comment before or after 2021 because this relationship is in the gutter.
>>155892178>It's just a little nonconsensual brainwashing, what's the harm?Typical comic book psychic logic. But for real, the big problem isn't that he wants in on May's life, it's that he wants to lobotomize her to basically fulfill his Oedipus complex by outright replacing Peter Parker. That's the kind of shit the X-men would be doing, aka what villains do.
Can Peter go back to space?
>>155892385What villains do? What about desperate people? How do you know she didn't ask him too erase her memories. Maybe The last time she came to Peters apartment was after she agreed to it. Gave peter one last good memory. Sounds like a better life. But thier not gonna do that are they. The real problem here is how they are treating cormac vs paul. Cormac the mustachio twirling villian undermines all of the angst and pain may was feeling toward peter instead of telling a story it turns into a villaon monologue. And then we have paul the decent guy with weird ancillary villain shit meant to bait you, all so peters franchise, that they hate, love interest and wife, can chose another man over.
>>155892647Gwenschizo, is that you? I thought they banned your spastic ass already. Or you hung yourself when Paul got gutted. One of the two.
>>155892668no I wanted Paul to have the heel turn they gave to cormac. I want him to comeback and wreak havoc.
>>155892647Never Forgive. Never forget.>>155892720Paul will return in avengers doomsday.
Cormac is probably some kind of a fae folk changeling right, a woman asking them help for getting pregenanant doesn't bode well.
>>155889172I kinda wanna see that.A dynamic where Norman acts like a feral stray that got adopted, leaving Peter dead rats as offerings because he's genuinely convinced Peter is too inept to catch his own dinner, would be so funny.
>>155889204>Reminder: Due to Mephisto shenanigans, Peter doesn't remember the baby.Kinda hard to hold the baby against current characterization when he never knew his wife got preggers
>>155892859It would be a good way to show Norman reverting to his old self. The idea of good guy Norman was always stupid, but Lethal Protector Goblin gradually becoming more ruthless and self-interested? That's what we should have already gotten from this weirdly long character arc.
>>155891398It's tragic because no matter how they assassinate both characters they naturally hit it off with insane chemistry even if the writer tries their hardest to make it look bad.
>>155892979According to Joe Quesada, everything happened except actually going through with the wedding. Peter and MJ had unprotected premarital sex and she got pregnant.
>>155888169>guys, remember spider-versity?
>>155888294>Saar please stop storytiming

Oh anons you are in for it now let me paint you a picurte of things to come. This is what they will do in that crisis of faith crossover. So miles learns somehow that peter sold his marriage to mephisto. Snd once this happens mephisto appears anf says.>He had a choice he didn't have to accept my offer he could have said no every man has a choice.Dnd then he laughs and vanishes, so now miles is angry with peter and hates him since he figures what peter did was wrong and selfish. This leads to all out bash between them in which miles taunts and drop hints on peter that he sid something real bad. But peter never learns from him what he did wrong. So it all ends with both of them badly beaten up walking away with each other.so by now peter goes >I did something wrong but what was it? why can't I remember it? oh god what did I do what? And this puts quite a wrinkle on peter's character a interesting development don't you think.
I'm seeing people say Peter should kill Cormac. Why what exactly has he done to warrant this. Peter crawled up MJs ass because she and the symbiote drop a serial killer to its death. He would be a hypocrite if he killed cormac and they have already stated Peter is the moral center of the marvel universe. Why his murder suddenly acceptable when it is emotionally satisfying

>>155893656This. The general rule of thumb for Spider-Man stories is that anytime Peter Parker's personal life is touched by a villain, he's allowed to go Batman on them aka beat them into a coma and/or potentially cripples them for life but doesn't outright kill them. And Cormac here should be no exception.
They should bring back jjj more often and tone down on him being comic relief. Also、We're past the era where we thought journalism is dead so we relegated daily bugle as a relic of the past
>>155893751So why didn't he beat the shit out Paul for stealing his girl? Is he a little bitch or what?

>>155894551Gwenschizo's nooticer arc is getting trite and boring. I think the arc where he becomes mindbroken into asking to be curbstomped and for his existence to turn into a krillin copypasta is much more entertaining.
>>155894369I miss you Paul!
Will the chameleon show up as paul in MJs mini?
>>155894712NOT!Except maybe Zeb. He sure does.
>>155892513Can the space poochies? Where are they anyway, still crashing on his apartment? Oh yeah, we gotta shill symbie in a few issues according to solicits, wonderful.
>>155894675You think that was a shipost well think about this what if's not. We do know that miles and peter go up against each due to miles questioning some of peter's recent actions in the crisis of faith crossover. But here is the thing maybe we don't know all the details maybe will marvel go.>let's have miles queestion some of peter's past actions also. And this where OMD comes in play somehow during that event miles learns that peter did sell his marriage with MJ to mephisto and well you can pretty much guess happens between them next.I for one am certain that's exacly what they have in store for peter they are going to make it even worse since that's what they want
I really look forward to see miles give peter a good beting once he finds out he sold his marriage to mephisto. One thing is for sure miles makes a better hero then peter is I for one am all for replacing him as Spider-Man for good.
>>155893806It's impossible to overstate how much of a mistake their entire handling of the Daily Bugle since OMD has been.>>155894517This would also be a mistake, but it's the least bad realistic option on the table. At least we'd get some good r34 out of it.
>>155895185True
>>155888226It's unanimous among writers that Peter should be a photographer again and yet Peter isn't a photographer. Kelly's even the one doing the book right now, and yet he's not making it happen for some reason.
>>155888774Good point that must be mysterio in disguise otherwise why would Peter's spider instinct gof off? once again MJ fans have been fooled again.
>>155895622I don't really understand Priest's point about MJ. Does he dislike the rosy period where she waits at home when he is out?
>>155895838piss off
>>155895622They fucked up the Bugle, so as much as Peter being a photographer is a good status quo for him, the classic formula is ruined. We had too many years of editors (not limited to Spider-Man or even Marvel) who let writers get away with dismantling good setups without replacing them with anything worthwhile.
>>155895838Yes.https://lamerciepark.com/legacy/comics/spidey.html>Also, around that time, Stan decided that Peter and Mary Jane would get married in the Spider-Man syndicated newspaper strip. I thought, and still think, it was the worst creative move the company could have made. Spider-Man, by definition, is "The Hero Who Could Be You." Once he marries a supermodel and becomes domesticated, he moves beyond the realm of wish fulfillment of most adolescents. I mean, sure they'd like to give Mary Jane a toss, but marriage? What teenage boy dreams of marriage?>It was creative suicide, it could not be tolerated. I told Jim and Tom that Spider-Man would get married in the comics series, and this is a quote, "Over my dead body.">Less than six months later, Spider-Man was married and I was gone.>Suddenly, the three books that I had worked for years to give unique identities to were homogenized into a blur of Spider Sameness: same logo style, same basic look, indistinguishable from one another. Oh, and suddenly, Ned Leeds was the Hobgoblin, a move that infuriated Roger Stern, but one that I had absolutely nothing to do with.
>>155894649>Skimmed.If you won't listen to me, I won't listen to you.
>>155896194I thought MJ was a runway model back during the marriage?
>>155888670For sure.
>>155894616>MJ was barely in it (a rug pull for later) and Wanda was a nothing burger. They showed up. That's enough for the retards who post pages out of context to go YAAAASSSS LOOK HOW MUCH THEY GET IT!!
>>155895622Being a journalist is pretty much the only profession that keeps up with his lifestyle. I don't know why they don't make him go back to it. They should have him writing acience again, alongside photos and shit. He has nearly a decade of in universe experience with both.It is not a character regression.Since they severely reduced showing us his civilian life in comics, just let him earn bugle paychecks offscreen instead of keeping him perpetually unemployed
>>155888196>>155888157This guy knows how to draw redheads.
>>155896385It works, it's like bread and circuses.Except it's breadcrumbs and circling the drain. The thing people need to see fixed or focused gets a couple panels, the nonsense arcs get the lions share. The way she goes.
>>155896194I was a teenage boy who thought the marriage was awesome.
>>155896505Same
>>155896331A lot of these guys' memories are a blur. When they married, she was a soap opera star and a regular model. They made her an incredibly famous supermodel after the Byrne/Mackie relaunch over a decade later.
>>155896607Yeah, thought so. In fact, I remember DeFalco justifying MJ being a runway model by telling a story about a secretary he knows having a side gig in that biz.And I am pretty sure the supermodel stuff was specifically made to make them "mismatch", because it was the period of the plane crash IIRC.
>>155888187>>155888196>spider-man has to be rescued and thank a girlboss literally every single issuealways the same woke shitwe never see him win fights female character or even rescue female characters anymore but he gets rescued or beaten up by a woman every single issue
Happy back from the dead is only the beginning.. soon you see others back from dead also.Harry, Gwen even jean dewolff. You wiill be seeing them real soon. the only question you should ask is will I see them back as humans or mutants,At at any rate this once again shows that the dead just don't stay dead. You think death is the end anons? you are wrong

>>155888169Norman being in Peter's corner is pretty much the only worthwhile thing that's happened to Spider-Man in the last decade. The way they went about it was stupid bullshit, but pages like this and Norman picking up Peter's mantle while he's offworld are solid highlights.

Oh dear spider fans you are in trouble now Mary jane is officaly to referred as being peter's Ex-Wife this kills any chance of the marriage ever coming back for sure hahaha.https://bleedingcool.com/comics/peter-parker-his-aunt-cousin-ex-wife-in-amazing-spider-man-1001-2/

>>155897820Oh dear don't like hearing that Mary Jane is peter's Ex-Wife do we? you just let that sink in for minute for you will be hearing it again so many more times in the future
Ex-Wife is so true that's all you are now MJ to peter nothing more hahaha.
>>155897834fuck off hahaha
MJ Ex-Wife oh it has such a cool ring to do it don't you think hahaha
I love that no one cares about Cormac motivations or why he has powers XD
>>155898014MJ Ex-Wife how do you like the sound of it
>>155898079Mj does not have an ex wife retard
>>155895622As far as I'm aware Peter is still blacklisted from being allowed to do photography from that time he photoshopped something to make Jonah look good
>>155898144according to the article that's exacly what she is I concur with it completely. By striking the deal wih mephisto that's exactly what he made her.
>>155898193Oh anons enough is enough it's over the marriage is not coming back now stop being a nuisance you are quite tirresome really, bumping the thread again and again won't get it back.
>>155898079wha?
>>155898196No the deal erased the Marriage, she cant be his ex-wife. Other people have mad this mistake.
>>155898316Correction the deal changed the past so they were married but by sttrking the deal i guess yoi could that's what mephisto made her I am sure thats how he view things.
>>155898407English please.
>>155898193They can write out a way to undo that, just like how Norman Osborn and then his old childhood friend got him un-blacklisted from the science industry after he ran a billion dollar company into the ground and was outed for academic fraud.
My theory is Peter won't kill Cormac but Wanda will tell him his powers are basied on x type of magic. Pete will then use the magic knowledge he got during that dying over and over arc (which was also written by kelly so he probably set all this stuff up since then) and will use it against Cormac which won't kill him but will leave hi. Permanently braind damaged or a vegetable or whatever. Then Pete will also have to carry the guilt he took May's biological son from her too.Typical spider-man stuff.
>>155898595Bonus drama points: Peter will also have the opportunity to remove Cormac's memory from May altogether to she doesn't suffer but will choose not to as that would make him just as bad as Ravager or whatever.
>>155898595naw he probably just makes him forget he has a power or something, kinda like harry in ASM3
I mean the obvious answer seems to be Cormac falling victim to his own power so everyone forgets him and then at the end Peter wonders who that guy is and rushes back to Aunt May.
What are the odds Cormac isn't really May's son and he was just so desperate to belong he memory planted himself?
>>155888196>>155888197We just had a good talk with Norman about trying to figure out Cormac, and now the story is already resorting to getting bailed out by magic users?
>>155898774thats been my theory. Like a time/mind/reality grifter/warper, he inserts himself into their history. But how he got into Spiral's path... ???
>>155898774I'd give it pretty good odds
>>155898774Then the whole spiral thing makes no sense but who cares about that forgettable villain anyway
>>155898774I'm kind of hoping for some sort of Fae creature as a result of the Irish Wish, because I'm really hoping this immensely dumb arc can be memoryholed and Mac thrown into a bin.
>>155898774They have already establish he is connected to the spirals.
Spiral guy left him alive before continuing to May, that could mean that he's not a real relative
>>155888196SEX
>>155899290then why did Torment go after him?
>>155899330NTA but magic confusing the spirals or the antenna, it was a chaotic few pages.I'm just grasping at straws, I really don't want fucking Mac to be canon.
>>155899330And why did he left him after one try? It was stablished that he had to complete the spiral not skipping anyone before continuing
>>155899381not sure
>>155899694
>>155893136>Aunt May should have been gone along time agoShe will die, and you will complain, rightfuly, why did he make a deal with the devil anyways? she wasnt going to live 200 years. He literally made a deal with the devil to save a 80yo woman. And then you will have a lame story, about her secret will. And a secret after death message. And revelations and revelations of stupid shit. When she dies, you know exactly what stories, developments and issues that will come, in exactly the order they will come. Capeshit was solved long ago.

>>155899760
>>155899694>>155899721>>155899760>>155899800Hm.. not seeing any funny business here. torment calls him a cousin. and later Cormac had to get the report created
>>155899757They need a flashpoint under a new team, the BND regime has caused way too many problems and open sores.
>>155896047You cant have Spider-man being a genius and also poor. He could create a technology that would set him for life in 1 week tops. He doesnt even have to manage the company, he could just sell the rights.Being a journalist only works for a superhero, not photographer, but journalist because they let him investigate. But that would be just Clark Kent lite.If we are making sense, Peter should be rich withotu having to work a single day.
