Pretty good so far, shame it's a short series.

The story and setting have a lot of room for expansion. I think the writer made the right move here in not overexplaining the lore and instead focusing on the character dynamics around the smaller peeks we get at the bigger picture through each monster they encounter. The simpler monster of the week format works to build up interest in the actual characters.
