>new Futurama is written & directed by a lot of the OG crew >still stinks I'm starting to think there isn't a SINGLE timeline where bringing this once beloved show back would actually go well...
People need to come to terms with the reality that most things are created not just by certain people, but in a certain time with a certain culture. You are never going to be bring back what once was just by bringing back the people who worked on it 20 years prior, as most of them are probably completely different (in a worse way) from what they were like back then.
>>155922271Futurama ended perfectly with the Comedy Central seasons. Hulurama was just beating a dead horse.
>>155922271I don't know what you are talking about. The series ended with the Meanwhile and it was a glorious finale
>>155922271oh wow you are finally learning to stop wanting endless revivals and to move on to other stuff
>>155922321THIS. One of the reasons why bringing back Malcolm for the reboot was retarded
>>155924333But what if they kept harping on the will-they-won't-they after they already did?
>>155922271The biggest problem is the production schedule for Hulurama has been SUPER rushed, so they've basically been animating first drafts. That said, the most recent season was more good than bad in my opinion
>>155924570...they didn't? Fry and Leela were consistently an item in the Hulurama seasons. They even did an episode about Leela moving in with Fry and by extension Bender.
>>155924515Can't speak for every Futurama fan, but I've always been content with "Meanwhile." The fact that people actually CELEBRATED the Hulu revival when it was announced seriously confused me. I hope they're happy
>>155924662You can always ignore the bad stuff. And there was enough good stuff like All The Way Down that I'm glad it exists.
>>155924583>>155924662I love how the last finale to ever be shown was basically Ken Keeler saying "stop making me write finales."The disenchantment episode was weird, it felt like a backdoor revival almost. One thing that episode really hammered in though was why Disenchantment didn't work. My god, it was so forgettable. Hell, Oona was the most memorable character from that show and wasn't even in the episode.King, other most memorable character? There for five seconds.
>>155922271>Old crew is old and bitter >Somehow expect them to not lose their sense of humor
>>155922271I find that hard to believe.>>155922321... alright, I guess. but people need to stop that. stop changing! you will be blamed for your past regardless, so embrace it. be it. Unless you were bad, then don't be that in the first place.
>>155924983Nah, the last finale is the third Hulu special coming out next year.
>>155922271I liked the Comedy Central seasons, but the show was still running out of steam by the end of them. Futurama is not immune to the fact nothing good can last forever.
>>155922321Fpbp and /thread
>>155924983>disenchantmentmanthat show startee mediocre, gained momentum to be good (not great) and then it plummeted into abysmally bad
>>155924548wasn't muniz brain damaged or something
>>155922271>a man can dream thoughreminded me of this gemhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLwF_0Z2KHY
>>155922321futurama gained most of its popularity only after it was originally cancelled and airing on adult swim. has any show ever successfully pulled off being revived after post cancellation success? i guess people watch family guy but it's not really something that I would say has any merit to its success. everybody was excited for more clone high and everybody hated the new episodes.
>>155925950apparently that was a internet urban legend that became credible rumor at some point.regardless, the revival of Malcom coulsnt have been more off the mark. Not only Americans dont care two shits about Malcolm, but the actual audience they have (Latam) doesnt accept the DEI shit at all. Everyone there was hyped as fuck for it only fornit to be released and forgotten
>>155922271Disenchantment brought Oakley and Weinstein back and it was fucking dogshit
