I think one of my main complaints of this show is that there are 8 locales including the cataclysm but we're still stuck in Ellora for half a season. Each episode is primarily plot driven with no one‐off episodes. Everyone is so dramatic most of the time and it gets so tiresome. Anyone that isnt so dramatic like blue twink or abacus girl barely get any time to do things of significance.
The passage of time seems so completely off as well. Its happened in previous episodes but the recent one where theyre trying to find Yuki is the most apparent. Its daytime up when they go to here room in her family home but the next time we see wind boy and the avatars it's already night time and he's telling them to go to the compound when that conversation couldve been held in Yuki's room.
This is worse than LoK.

Almost every single episode of TLA (besides the literal part 1 / 2s) essentially works as a standalone story which may also move the overall plot forward or introduce something on top of being a standalone story. It's really what makes a show good as a show and not just a really long movie cut up into chunks.
I'd say the only episode of SH so far that has really nailed this format was Episode 6, which has been the best episode so far by a solid chunk.
