They call it fake and that Prime doesn’t deserve it. And they don’t think he deserves the recent attention.

Don’t these tweens realize they’re acting as envious and bitter as Conner is toward him in the comics?

That’s pathetic.
>>
>>155933642
Honestly a redemption would be next to impossible for him given everything he had done but comic logic and retcons have actually worked in his favor and he's genuine about it so it's all good.
>>
>>155933642
>they’re acting as envious and bitter as Conner is toward him in the comics?
I mean, Conner has good reason to be bitter.

Regardless I think the last issue of the Prime run made a good argument towards redemption.
Pointed out that his turn to evil was super sudden and 180 to begin with, and if people were so ready to accept the character changing back then, they should be able to accept him wanting to change now.
>>
>>155933642
I wouldn't call it a proper redemption yet, but he's clearly trying and wants to be better. They really need to address Prime talking to everyone like they're comic characters though, it's where more than half his poor communication skills come from at this point.
>>
>>155933669
Nah, people love Vegeta and he’s genocide planets of its population. Oh you don’t like Anime fair well I can’t pull another example like Hal Jordan after he killed the entire green lantern core. The trick with writing is you can redeem anyone if you want too. Not everyone ends up living a broken life like Hank Pym in the eyes of Marvel sins can be forgiven.
>>
>>155933642
>Superman’s “Jason Todd”
It’s not going to end well for him.
>>
>>155933669
I think that's what makes his redemption genuinely interesting. It's pushing at the limits of the format in a genuinely interesting way. Like, can you even redeem yourself if you're so powerful nothing is ever hard and you live in a cartoon world where nothing you do matters?
>>
>>155933642
Post the panel of the gals lusting after him.
>>
>>155933815
Vegeta's redemption took two whole series. He had to be humbled so many times and eat his pride and realize he was a shithead in addition to becoming a family man that genuinely loves his wife and children. Toriyama may not be the biggest Vegeta fan but he made that character work his ass off for that redemption. And Vegeta even made peace with the namekians over the village he wiped out. Prime hasn't done nearly that much on a personal level but he has saved the multiverse so there's that.
>>
>>155933642
Old Jon is worst for Connor than Superboy Prime
>>
>>155933642
I feel Prime was carried hard by art moreso than the writing.
>>
>>155934245
Old Jon is just bad for the Superman branch in general, but DC can't go back thanks to Tom Taylor making him the token fag of the family
>>
>>155934279
I know he wouldn't be so popular right now if they got Riley Rossmo to do the art for that arc, I can tell you that much.
>>
>>155934279
It definitely helps but playing into what makes Prime fun while redeeming him also makes it a good read. He's the jerk Superman trying to do better.
>>
>>155934296
I do get the feeling that his popularity will fall down once Mora leave him.
>>
>>155934296
>so popular
Is he? I mean, why did they bring Superman that fast if he is doing so well?
>>
>>155934212
Actually you’re wrong Vegeta was redeemed in DBZ during the Buu arc. Remeber he gets wished back and it’s out right said by Goku that he’s one of the good guys now. Super just dives deeper into his character after being redeemed.
>>
Jonsisters?
>>
>>155934425
Superman was always going to return as quick as he did and if anything, Prime's run being a huge hit in an era where Bendis and Taylor's take off the franchise destroyed all the good will Jurgans and Tomasi's rebirth run built up and salted the earth afterwards, is the only thing that DC pulled an audible on.

Worse case scenario is that Prime goes away for a while with a happy ending until they need a sales boost. Alternately Prime sticks around in another book like Power Girl, perhaps JSA or Outsiders.
>>
>>155934782
Jon is such a lost cause that even Tomasi has given up and pretty much had to start writing Chris (Zod's son that was the prototype for Jon)
>>
Superboy prime is the closest thing we’ll get to a new Gwenpool run :(
>>
>>155935243
well Jon is not near the caracter that Tomasi want.
>>
>>155933642
All the redemption attempts in these mainstream comics (for some reason DC heavy) have been crap. Hal, Harley, and SBP come to mind the most. Fans are just fucking stupid.
>>
>>155935287
Hal had a good redeption arc.

Harley is just shit because she lost her motivation,
>>
>>155935232
Jon's run lasted for three volumes before they brought Superman back. They could have let Superman return to AC and let Prime have the main one for a little while if he is indeed doing this well.

>Not everyone ends up living a broken life like Hank Pym in the eyes of Marvel sins can be forgiven.
To be fair, it's only pretty recently that Pym got hit with the redemption ray after years of being the punching bag over a literal editorial oversight. It wasn't until Al Ewing got his hands on him that he put an end to Hank's humiliation ritual; likely because letting your main competitor redeem someone with objectively way worse sins while your company is still punching down on a guy with mental health problems likely wouldn't look good any way you slice it.
>>
>>155935243
>Jon is such a lost cause
He isn't. It's literally super easy to fix him. Just save from the rainbow crowd and have a writer who cares enough to do something interesting with him.
>>

they already do the bait two times.
in one Damian looks right to the reader and say that is a stupid idea fix Jon.
>>
>>155935646
I'm not talking about aging him down. There are a lot of interesting ideas you could do with him as adult, but you need someone brave enough to save him from being a token gay for pride issues. It's literally what's holding him down.

He and his gaggle of hired D-lister supervillains ventured into the microverse to pursue Ultron. Everyone eventually forgot about that but still remembered that he was still in the microverse for some reason and in the latest Moon Knight run he was provoked by him into coming out of hiding when it seemed like they were trying to hurt his daughter.

He and Tigra had a nice reunion after all this time too.
>>
>>155934725
He still murdered an entire Namekian village that was never resurrected. Vegeta is a genocidal maniac.
>>
>>155935232
Prime isn't a character that can last long. A 4th wall character are usually pretty limited and there's nothing you could do much to do with them.
>>
>>155934782
Jon's comic sold better than Prime's, though? Before Taylor ruin it of of course.
>>
>>155936791
You mean before Bendis, that's when the Superman line crashed and burned.
It didn't really recover until Williamson.
>>
>>155933669
It is because it was too meta, the psychological projecting from the writers stopped
>>
>>155935712
Why is he old?
>>
>>155933642
Did they ever bring Pantha back, or did she stay dead?
>>
>>155936928
No, I actually mean Jon's solo book. It sold well and it was even top seller. Taylor's pink dount character dragged the book down eventually.
>>
>>155934725
No he still had a lot to make up for. When he was about sacrifice himself to slow down Buu he asked Piccolo what would happen to him and Piccolo told him that he wouldn’t keep his body in the afterlife for what he did.
>>
>>155936941
In-universe reason is that all of the shit Ultron put him through like time travel, having his soul consumed by devondra, etc. put a physical toll on his body.

The actual reason was MCU synergy.

Conner lost relevance long before Jon.

I thought they dragged him back to being 11. Yeah he was 17 though. If you want to talk about prime though he was introduced at 15 years old in Crisis on Infinite Earths, in Infinite Crisis he’s like 20 I think maybe 18 I know he’s an adult legally but can’t buy booze legally.
>>
>>155933642
I dont care what Conner fans think. Prime can certainly have a redemption arc. Hell the only person to remember his crimes from the past universe was Power Girl
>>
I keep wondering, why Kon and all the 90s characters failed to stay relevant? What went wrong?
>>
>>155937582
Dan Didio hates them and kneecapped all sidekicks and legacy characters while he was in charge.
>>
>>155937647
I don't think it's because of Didio. The problem is both simpler and deeper than that.
>>
>>155937105

>>
What's stopping Prime from just retconning all the bad guys into being good guys?
>>
>>155937298
That wasn't her. The original Pantha (the one that was killed) is an anthropomorphic cat-woman. The person that was in the comic was the lame human luchador Teen Titans character with the same name. This seems to be a case of the Titans recruiting a female crime fighter and giving her the moniker of a dead team mate

I still don't understand how the people on top don't send Conner Kent through the orrery of worlds. What the fuck is their problem, you have all these world to explore and you do nothing with them. The last time I put attention to western art was during the Multiversity ten years ago.

They sent Conner to a comic book store, my brother in arms, you have more than FOUR DOZEN WORLDS TO EXPLORE

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING
>>
>>155939978
DC has tried multiple times to have other heroes to explore alternate universes and they never work out. Nobody cares about them except for specific ones. People only care about the main one and the absolute universe. Earth-3 only works in small doses and not even the rule 63 universe gets much attention.
>>

>>
>>155937582
>>155937647
People always got this wrong. DiDio wanted the 90's side kicks to thrive. That is the reason why he cancelled Young Justice and pass the gen to DC's golden boy Geoff Johns. But the problem was that he was always disconnected of what was cool and why people liked those characters. So instead he decided to revamp and turn them into something people didn't enjoy.
Plain and simple.
The only 90's character that he was against was Cassandra Cain and that was mainly because he wanted Barbara to be Batgirl. Because she believed that her being Oracle (or at the least the way everybody wrote Oracle) made Batman look older and aged the character.
>>
>>155937582
Because the comics side of DC refuses to do anything meaningful with Conner or the others and instead constantly introduces new characters as replacements that inevitably fail. Despite that, Conner has benefited largely from having several well-liked mainstream appearances which has allowed him to garner a pretty sizeable fanbase, while comics in general aren't relevant and none of the DC characters that came after him and his contemporaries achieved any sort of lasting success.

Prime's 'redemption' is carried by the meta aspects of it. I don't find it to be genuine at all.
>>
>>155935287
>>155935338
DC's issue is that they ignore characters who actually deserve a shot at redemption and 'redeem' the ones who don't or pretend their crimes were justified.

Hal's heel turn had some build up in comics and wound up feeling out of character. I don't think Parallax should have ever been a thing. The version of Hal in the Lanterns show feels like someone who would have become Parallax and it would be in character.

I don't think Harley should be redeemed but I can also see why she could be. The issue is that writers downplay all the bad things she did as 'LOL randumb' and comedy.
>>
>>155937582
Johns screwed over the YJ cast and made them 'dark/mature'.Other writers followed his footsteps and kept derailing them.

Alot of writers fail to understand that some characters were never meant to be edgy, dark and mature.
>>
>>155942869
>The version of Hal in the Lanterns show feels like someone who would have become Parallax and it would be in character
No, it doesn't. Despite being lonely and basically lost his ring and reputation, he still tried his best to make up for any wrong doing and protect people around him. His fall would never make any sense. Not in comics or otherwise.

The luchador Pantha has literally never appeared in main canon, what are you guys talking about?
I literally just checked the issue anon is talking about (Tales of the Titans #2) and that's just the original classic Pantha.
The mask looks kinda similar to the one from the cartoon, but it's still closer to classic Pantha than the show, that's without even mentioning the hair and body type.
>>
>>155942953
He was sabotaged for sure, but he still has the Super Sons (which was basically his origin movie), Superman & Lois and MAWS. He even appeared in YJ. I would say he is doing fine for now.

>>155937582
DC introduced other characters and/or forgot about the others.
Kon got replaced by Jon.
Tim got replaced by Damian.
Cassie got replaced by Yara/Lizzie.
Bart was kinda just ignored honestly, but they've been using Wally's kids more than him now anyways.
Unlike with say, Nightwing, they never found new roles for these guys to move onto.
>>
>>155937582
Kon is actually doing way better than the rest right now.
Cassie keeps being ignored in favor of Yara and Lizzie, Tim is semi-retired until they can find a better name for him, and Bart just kinda exists.
Kon is at least about to have an arc involving Lex Luthor, maybe something to finally give him a new identity? We'll see.

Honestly, outside of Donna(despite her convoluted backstory baggage), the other Wonder Girls aren't that interesting.

Yara is starting to become interesting, New Titans developed her more in two issues than multiple issues in Wonder Woman.

Lizzie feels like someone who would work in a Wonder Woman Beyond type book instead of the mainline WW books.

Cassie doesn't do much outside of shipping drama and getting teammates killed under her leadership.

Vanessa should've been the second Wonder Girl instead of Silver Swan, and is overdue for a redemption arc.
>>
>>155937409
I don't buy that he's still meant to be 17 a bit, they started his run as Superman with him going to college for some reason, and later in Secret 6 he was living on his own and planning on moving out of Metropolis with his boyfriend.
I think it's stupid that we're having these kind of plots with Jon, while the last time someone made a reference to how old Kon is supposed to be, they implied he's still going to high school in that story that was meant to be a set up for him being trans.
So how old is he? I'm gonna just say vaguely young adult, probably same as Kon's age, which sucks cause I was one of the people who liked the idea of Kon being like an older brother to Jon when he was a kid, but that boat sailed long ago and it ain't coming back.
>>155937461
Prime is also a vaguely young adult, older than Kon, but younger than Kara, let's say part of Jason Todd's generation.

I said what I said anon, if it's not happening on the main Earth, a lot of people just don't care.
They're not gonna want to write something on Earth 67 because they know that when the story's over, it's not going to matter going forward since most people, both writers and readers, just care about what happens on the main Earth.
>>
>>155943182
You are right. I never finished Smallville so I didn't know that he appeared in one episode.

I think Yara and Lizzie are both fucking retarded additions to an underdeveloped family that doesn't need any more bloat from writers trying to shill more OCs.
It's honestly insulting that they keep trying to push Yara while Cassie just rots on Limbo.
>Vanessa should've been the second Wonder Girl instead of Silver Swan, and is overdue for a redemption arc.
I like the idea of a redeemed Silver Swan, not so much of making her a Wonder Girl.
I generally don't like characters sharing codenames, if we're gonna get a new Wonder Girl, first have a story where the previous one develops a new identity.
>>
Jon not getting a boyfriend in any of his appearances so far (and even got married and had kids in one of them) gives me hope that there's still a chance to save him from what Taylor did to him.
>>
>>155942869
>Hal's heel turn had some build up in comics
No, it doesn't. That is why the tards of H.E.A.T. couldn't be talked down because anyone that was reading GL at that point could saw the blatant desire of DC to "broke" another character. In the final numbers of Jones, Hal was making peace with the destruction of Coast City, was surrounded by Carol and Ollie and ready to keep being a hero. Then, in the next number written by Marz, he was sulking on the ruins of Coast City. Total lack of a coherent sequitur between runs.
>>
>>155943118
Regardless of how one's feels about it, the Lex recon is what saved Kon from completely fading into irrelevancy. It's the primary reason why most people even know about him.
>>
>>155943270
I don't think Vanessa should be Wonder Girl now, but a redeemed Silver Swan makes a lot of sense. The Wonder family lacks a tech based hero and Vanessa would fill that role.

>Redeemed Silver Swan
>>
I think it's fair to say that Prime's redemption hasn't been handled the best, specially if you're a Kon fan and empathize with him being ignored in favor of someone who was happily killing so many people just a few reboots ago.
However, I also really like Prime anyways, I look forward to seeing more of him, I hope they actually make an effort to acknowledge his ugly history more, and I'm also really looking forward to whatever they're gonna do with Kon next.
It intrigues me cause Lex has already tried controlling Kon before, so I wonder if his plan now is simply gonna be trying to have as much influence on him as he can without outright hijacking his mind again.
>>
>>155943453
No, they didn't have a desire to build up the character as a villain. Because Gerard Jones was already pitched his idea for Hal to drop the title of Green Lantern and pursue another identify as a hero, but DC saw the numbers that Batman Azrael did and decided to reject Jones pitch and ask to Marz for a new one, but only give him 3 issues to execute it. And Marz just started as if the last numbers of Jones didn't existed.

This stance is funny coming from fans of DiDio;s era since Prime was created as "What if Superman was a comic fanboy", he received Superman, his favorite comic character, with the same giddy behavior then as Williamson had Prime exhibit recently when they met in the Zod event, making it a true return to form than the callous reality hopping murder hobo IC contorted him into.
In fact the criticism of him being Deadpool is especially funny since randomly killing people while making quips was exactly what he was doing around then. The main change is him switching which team is victim to it and reserving when to dish it out to those deserving like Batkek and Ignition, until Manchester Black's tampering let him retcon that.

Also therein Williamson illustrated SBP doesn't shy from extending it to antiheroes who act disruptive enough, when Manchester pushed the situation he made clear he would donut him and be done with it if he didn't fuck off, Manchester was just fortunate the event happened inside CK's mindscape.

I have my reservations about Manchester's conduct, but as for Superboy Prime Williamson has given actual fans the best of both worlds. The Kryptonite Kingdom was just a flat follow up, so as always the writing is all that's holding things back.

I liked the redemption arc a lot. Manchester directly confronted him on some of his lies like 'everyone you killed came back, what about Kal-L?' but I think to fully buy in to the idea that he's changed we actually need to see some real reflection from Prime. Giving Williamson the benefit of the doubt I'm hoping maybe whatever this supposed Prime one-shot next year is, it will follow up on this but I'm inclined to believe he was writing Prime in such a way that we are supposed to see that Prime still lacks the emotional maturity to properly reflect on his actions. So he's 'sorry' in the sense that he wouldn't do those things now, but it hasn't really changed his underlying childish mindset of delusionally viewing himself as a hero and wanting the world to be like a self-insert fanfic. They pay a bit of lip service at the end of the prime time arc that he now 'gets it' that redemption and forgiveness will come on the terms of the people he hurt, but I think it was a bit rushed and we didn't really see him putting this new mindset into action as we were barreling into this whole event.

I'd call it a good start, but unfinished.
>>
>>155943790
What we really need is Prime sincerely telling Kon and/or PG sorry, just for them to tell him to fuck off, ideally with some big speech about how much he sucks.

He was supposed to be only 17, but Taylor aged him up a year to put him in college and pair him with that pink trash. Nowadays, he is being written like he in his early 20th which makes no sense.

>>155943297
Him being a fag is a stain on Superman so the suits might not be up with the idea. Saving him from that is quite easy. Just say that his failed experience with that pink trash made him uninterested in any relationship and there's that.

Characters age off-screen all the time, DC doesn't want to commit to specific ages for that reason, it's easier to just put them in vague age ranges like "kid", "teen", "young adult", "grown adult", "old", etc.
Jon might as well be part of the Tim/Jason generation by now, just another vaguely young adult.
I hope he's closer to the Tim generation than the Jason one, cause if he was part of the latter, that would mean that he's older than Kon, and that'd be extremely fucking stupid.
>Him being a fag is a stain on Superman so the suits might not be up with the idea
You guys don't understand how much DC pushed Jon when he was bisexual, he is THE Superman token fag just like Tim is for Batman now, I don't see them ever reversing that.
I for one think Jon's biggest problem right now is being another vaguely young adult Superlad, I know this has been said a million times by now, but it would've been so much better if they kept him as the young kid/teen of the family as kind of a little brother for Kon, but unlike that time they deaged Bart, they can't really do the same with Jon since they would not be able to parade him around as a bi whore with him as a kid.

Basically all of the silver and golden age characters are permanent but all of the legacy characters are designed to roll over for new ones. Its not just 90s characters either, CoIE basically ate everyone from the 70s and 80s too.
>>
>>155944001
>>155944289
I'm surprised that the age mafia who get triggered over any slight age gap between any pair have no problem with Jon's relationships. Any character he would date are originally a decade or so older than him since Jon in his original timeline is supposed to be 10 or 11.

>They call it fake and that Prime doesn’t deserve it. And they don’t think he deserves the recent attention.
>Don’t these tweens realize they’re acting as envious and bitter as Conner is toward him in the comics?
>That’s pathetic.

And what does that make you, OP?
>>
>>155944813
His character is a mess, and they’ll probably kill him off sooner or later anyway, so there’s no point getting mad about it.
>>
>>155945049
>they’ll probably kill him off sooner or later anyway
I fucking wish, DC doesn't have the balls to kill off characters anymore.
>>
>>155945231
Killing Jon would be hard without lasting consequences on Superman. Failing his son twice would make him a failure hero.
>>
>>155945626
Oh like Batman after he failed to save Jason and failed to save Damien.
>>
>>155945626
There’s nothing left for them to do with Jon if Titans flops. They’ve tried everything at this point, so if this doesn’t stick, his only options are limbo or death.
>>
>>155933642
I trust Prime
>>
>>155945626
Ideally, the death of Jon could make Superman go back in time and save him by not letting Jor-El take him.
Yes, I'm still mad about that, and no, I don't think they'll ever actually reverse it.
>>155945660
You say that, but after Damian's death, Bruce did in fact bring him back as soon as he could.
>>
>>155942995
That Pantha is human, from the Teen Titans cartoon. She is NOT "original classic Pantha". The original that appeared in canon (usually in the Titans comics) was an anthro. You're tricked by a cat-STYLED mask into believing you're looking at a cat anthro instead of a regular human? Amazing.
>>
>>155945660
DC refused to acknowledge Jason as Bruce's son half the time he was dead and they brought Damian back quickly so what's your point here? Do you want them to kill Jon off and then have Superman go nutts and bring him back like they with Batman? Besides, there are different standards and expectations are demanded of Superman compared to Batman?
>>
>>155945725
Still let two sons die way to go Bruce, what is it because Jason and Damien weren’t funny enough for you?
>>
>>155945695
>They’ve tried everything at this point
No, they didn't. They need to make him straight again and use the mess they created by doing interesting story with Jon and the bad things he went through.
>>
>>155945747
No, there isn’t, if people are going to act like Batman can do anything with prep time than he gets to accept every L he has especially when it’s him being a failure hero who can’t even save his own kid twice.
>>
>>155945732
>That Pantha is human, from the Teen Titans cartoon.
No? Again, the cartoon Pantha has never been in the comics anon, she's not a character that exists in Earth 0.
It'd make no sense to have a completely different Pantha from the cartoon when the comics only know of the mutated woman Pantha, get real man.
>The original that appeared in canon (usually in the Titans comics) was an anthro
She was a cat-like human, emphasis on the human, she still looked mostly like a human woman but with weird feet, her newest cameos don't contradict that.
>>
>>155945757
Victims of war or whatever, my point here is that if Bruce could try to bring his son back, I'm sure Clark could do the same.
>>
>>155945782
>They need to make him straight again
The only people interested on Jon anymore are also into him being gay, get rid of that and he's just another failed Superboy, most people just want him to be a kid again, that's when he was at his most popular.
>>
>>155945788
>if people are going to act like Batman can do anything with prep time than he gets to accept every L he has especially when it’s him being a failure hero who can’t even save his own kid twice.
Surely you can see the contradiction in what you're saying, specially when all of the Robins who died did eventually come back sooner or later.
>>
>>155937853
King Yemma let him keep his body and had Baba bring him to Earth, Porunga revived him when they wished all the good people on Earth back
>>
>>155945832
Ok so if John dies and comes back later than Superman wouldn’t be a failure hero than.
>>
>>155945788
I'm not giving Bruce an excuse. But he messed up so many times than him failing his kids isn't exactly a surprise. Superman in another hand is a different matter. He is considered the SUPER hero of DCU and him failing to save his son would be a bad look or at least bring a huge change to his character. There's no way he could stay the same if he lost Jon.
>>
>>155945843
Killing off current Jon has always been my preferred way to bring kid Jon back, that's what they did with Bart after all.
Ideally he should have some kind of big heroic sacrifice or something so we can say he mattered before bringing back the Jon that people actually liked.

Oh please. They aren't interested in him or they would have supported him. They only use him for muh representation and don't care about him otherwise.
>>
>>155945865
They are "interested" as much as they can be, but it's only to make him kinda niche, take it away and no one fucking cares about older messed up Jon.
>>
>>155945860
What they need to do than is do a timeline fuckery story with that, where 17 year old John dies saving his past self from becoming him. He gets to save his own childhood and he disappears as the results of it you can even have a great father son moment where he tells Superman it’s ok he’s right there and he points to his younger self before vanishing and Superman just cries hugging young John.
>>
>>155945879
He is Superman's son. There will always be be interested or at least curious about him. Making him gay is literally what killing the interests in him.
>>
>>155945895
Reminded me of a story in a TV show where's a father bonded with his future son and then watched him die in his arms. Despite having his younger self alive and well, losing him still hurt and it almost destroyed. I would love to see a story like that with Superman.
>>
>>155945049
>>155945231
They could kill Jon only if they are willing to let Superman suffer the consequences of losing him since they went on and on about him being the most important thing to him. If they did that, I would be ok with it since Superman books have been painfully boring for years now and they need some changes.
>>
>>155946034
You know they would just eventually revive him, right?
>>
>>155946043
They haven't revived Alfred yet so who knows? I think it would be an interesting development for Superman and bring huge changes to him.
>>
>>155946071
Maybe, but also Alfred was an old honestly superfluous side character, he's not like Jon who gets stories of his own and happens to be DC's token fag for the Super-Family.
Like I said, DC doesn't have the balls to kill of their characters anymore, not their heroes at least, they're arguably still apologizing for killing so many of them back in the 2000s.
>>
>>155933642
They can't accept it's PRIME TIME!
>>155933669
Genocide and murder are forgivable crimes if you eventually say sorry. The only unforgivable crime according to modern morals is rape/sexual assault
>>
>>155945791
She was a mutated cat woman with fur, fangs, claws, a tail, and everything in the comic. The Wildebeest Society mutated her into a cat creature from a normal woman. The version that showed up in comics post-death is clearly the cartoon Teen Titans version. It makes no sense to swap them out, but that's exactly what they did. Check your eyes.
>>
>>155946148
Aren't rapists and child predators treated the worst in jail by inmates and that has been a thing for decades?
>>
>>155946163
It was inconsistent, and even then, most of her body was covered anyways.
Also, the whole point of that scene was calling out to Titans history anon, they would obviously use the Pantha that has history in the comics, the whole point of giving her a kid was to give her a kind of happy ending and write her out.
If they were to use the Pantha from the show, that would make no fucking sense, there's no reason to use her, they're drastically different characters.
>>
>>155945809
They only people interested in him are the people who liked him since he made his first appearance. Fags don't actually care or support fag characters and they only want to feel good about themselves. Fujos are the same. They don't actually read or support faggy manga either.
>>
>>155933642
>already have to live with him being a literal Superman clone
>the Clois son took your hero name
>the Clois son was aged up to around your age
>they bring back the a controversial Superboy and make everybody in and out of universe love him
>said controversial Superboy killed you

Being Kon is nothing but suffering lmao
DC really needs to just cull the entire Young Justice generation of sidekicks, they all add literally nothing.
>>
>>155946312
>the Clois son took your hero name
This is how it's completely obvious that the current guard at DC does not give a FUCK about Tim, Cassie, and Kon.

Tim went back to Robin years ago, Kon had his hero name taken a fucking decade ago, and Cassie's was taken 5 years ago. Instead of having Bendis fuck around and tarnish the YJ name further, they should've gotten a writer who actually cares about them to carefully craft a story wherein all 3 of them graduate to their own unique name like Roy, Dick, and Garth did.
>>
>>155946352
Or get rid them? Why there are so many legacy characters? I'm actually glad the current TT didn't create another useless expy bunch and instead had have their own unique identities.

This is a human woman wearing a mask similar to OG Pantha's. OG Pantha only has 3 fingers, and her fur was CONSISTENTLY dark brown...are you a DC employee doing damage control or something? The only reason she's wearing a mask in this comic is because she would look like a regular human woman without it...because that is the version they used here. Now, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I don't know who that bald dude is supposed to be, but that's not Red Star, Pantha's boyfriend. Maybe she was resurrected and she on to go somewhere and live with Wildebeest and Red Star as a family, and got out of the superhero biz, but THIS ain't her.

They have to kill off some characters eventually. The DC universe is getting too bloated, and many of these characters aren’t even worth keeping around.
>>
>>155945695
>if Titans flops
You mean "when." Dick can barely carry those dead weights.
>>
>>155945695
Oh please he's Clark son, DC will gladly launch some book for him under the guise of it being a third tier Superman book like Slott's containment book or turn Action Comics into a "Superman family" book that just so happens to be 75% Jon.

>>155947061
DC doesn't really care about Titans right now (or quite frankly most of their teams). Their next massive event isn't going to be some random event that requires the teams being at the most iconic, it's going to be Absolute characters and their main earth equivalents doing shit. IE more events that are 90% Justice League saving the day, with maybe a dash of LOSH considering the early Absolute LOSH teases and how Williamson is writing that book.
And Starfire getting a solo next year that will probably get at least 12 issues, and Raven and Beast Boy still unaccounted for when Snyder said DC was planning something with them so they're probably get a book too.
And in general DC is basically letting writers simmer on titles for a while and handing out title extensions like candy, which is keeping up reader goodwill for the most part which is priceless.
Bare minimum New Titans is getting to #50 next August or #52 next October, and that's assuming they won't force a tie in for their Absolute Crisis event to raise sales across the board.

New Titans is the most interesting and competently written Titans run in years and fans are triggered because the writer called out repetitive storylines(the same thing the fans have rightly been complaining about for years).

Actually I enjoy it when everyone suffers, Yes. That's why I and a lot of people give a shit about The Absolute Universe. Characters feel so much cooler when it's not some "heckin' wholesome" chungus shit, I don't care about your characters' faggy ethics and drama I care about entertainment

Everyone will find that the suffering of others brings them joy in some way (and they deny it despite the fact Capeshit wouldn't exist without violence) but unfortunately cape writers are so whipped they can't fathom how to be cruel in an entertaining way because they fear being labeled as "heckin' edgelords" by fat trannies like Ennis (who's terrible at being transgressive and the only edgy writer they know)

They need to build the team dynamic better. They don't have any real bond yet and they really need to take Dick and Victor off the team because they are dragging it down.
