I'm surprised they finished their campaign without much outrage
>>155972456Why
>>155972456Because ultimately nobody cares about Kamen America despite all the bought shilling for it.
>>155972456Because comics are such a minor niche and most Street Fighter fans don't care about Udon to begin with and Kamen America is a nobody series that not even most people within comic discourse circles even bring upIt's not like how Sonic fans have to constantly hear discussion over IDW or Archie
>>155974463Still, the implications of a big franchise working with such a right winged work should feel larger. Like if Sonic crossed over with Kamen its fans wouldn't like it.
>>155974942Sonic fans are trannies while Street Fighter fans are just black.
>>155974967I don't think the Kamen America creators have an esteemed view of either of those groups.
>>155974942Capcom appears to be relatively lax about licensing out their franchises and Udon seems to have some sort of authority with Street Fighter comics specifically. The current head of Udon is vaguely right leaning and possibly too much on Twitter so this could be an insider connection thing as well. If that recent Valiant Universe crossover comic is anything to go by then we can assume they're willing to license out the IP to anyone who pays enough even if the other brand doesn't have widespread appeal. Valiant comics have been on the brink of death for a while now as I recall. It might be like an Archie Comics situation where the main parent company doesn't really give a shit unless something majorly serious blows up. In this case the Kamen America team has put in significant money and effort to be plausibly deniable to general audiences with a facade of wholesomeness.
>>155972456where would the outrage come from
>>155975750it being a chud comic with pol memes
>>155975750The main character literally originates from a pro-Trump MHA parody comic and the early issues had /pol/ memes
>>155976201Meh. /pol/, despite its best efforts, is somewhat mainstream. Even leftists use terms like ZOG nowadays. Much of this is because Americans in general are justifiably disgusted by Israel, but still. Not to mention how other /pol/ terms just became commonplace, like cuck. They’re even used non-ironically.
>>155976255It doesn't piss me off (I kind of expected it to happen) but like it's not just lingo the normalfags adopted
>>155976303And yet they insist that their comic hasn’t been political since 2020. Industry ass plant comic
>>155976705I think you have to be in the industry for it to be a true plant, but nevertheless it feels inauthentic. I'm not sure if they genuinely believe they are apolitical and that any politics are just "the truth" or they are acting in bad faith and are aware of how unpopular their politics are so they just lie.
>>155976705That's not really what is being said in that image through. They're saying it's not overtly political, so that while politics might pop up once in a while, it's not the focus of the comic. Can't speak for the veracity of that claim, since I don't read capeshit.
>>155976303A person has to be uniquely retarded to think California fires are inside jobs when they happen yearly no matter who's in office. El Niño is like a brap from a fat woman's anus.
>>155976705>>155977016Kamen America's "presence" amongst the Japanese is more like the allegory of the caveThere are multiple, MULTIPLE comics you could recommend to the Japanese (westaboos especially) but they can't read them because they lack translations and they're anal about piracy
>>155977147It reads like something that's technically true but insincere much like all of their marketing gimmicks. They've tried to distance themselves from their overt politics roots by toning down explicit references in later issues and doing a reboot of the earlier parts where it's more obvious. However they still do this wink and nudge act that you can pick up on.
>>155977639>However they still do this wink and nudge act that you can pick up on.Honestly just sounds like what comic book writers have been doing since the dawn of the medium.
>collectively giving nearly 200k to a major video game company via e-begging for the PROMISE of development instead of the actual fucking game
>>155977804>GameDid you confuse graphic novel with visual novel?
>>155977804It's not a game, it's a comic
>>155972456I'm surprised you haven't kys yet, OP.
>>155977738Yeah and it's eye rolling and insulting here too. I'd say more so here because they try to be coy and pass themselves off as organic indie creators bootstrapping their way to glorious Nippon.
