Sonic lore experts I have weird autistic questions. Why are some animals tiny like the ones in the capsules and why are some anthropomorphic. Are all other humans weirdly cartoony like Eggman? Are there even any humans? How much was actually planned in the old games to be in adventure? I remember someone saying chaos was foreshadowed in Sonic 3 but this may have been a bullshit rumor I heard at recess one million years ago.

The jerboa tail looking like that is a product of Sonic's style of keeping things simple, the fang and cheek tufts are the wolf aspects, and the Australian theming never actually existed, but is a fun fan concept everyone just accepted because of the hat and bounty hunter motif getting stereotyped a lot to Australian characters. Because Fang was absent from the games for almost 30 years with the only material he was getting being Archie, fans latched onto any headcanons they could with him and Australian stuck. It's just as likely his cowboy aspect is based on Western film characters. We are probably never getting an actual ethnicity for Fang because Sonic Team is pretty deadset on the classic and modern split and not having classic characters talk.

I really don't like how they tried rebranding him into an actual badass in Superstars. Feels at odds with him being an incompetent goon who has his traps backfire on him in Triple Trouble and having a very goofy move set in the Fighters.
