Are there any CN leaks related to Van Partible’s departure from Johnny Bravo? I’m dying to know how that shit went down.

I always had a theory that it was because Johnny Bravo's style of humor didn't fit with any of the other Cartoon Cartoons at the time. Season 1 Johnny Bravo is VERY pop-culture heavy, which makes sense considering who was on the writing staff at the time.None of that staff returned for Season 2 either, it wasn't just Van Partible who got fired. They straight up retooled the entire series from the ground up. So I think it was more the executives at the time not liking Johnny Bravo's style and wanted to make their own version of it with writers and showrunners they approved. Then when the ratings went down, they allowed Van Partible back on his own show.

Partible came back around this time trying to pitch a new show which didn't get picked up, but CN figured they'd let him take another crack at Johnny since it was his character and they figured he'd keep the show successful. Didn't work out.
