Which replacements from the past six years to these adult animated characters did the best and shittiest jobs?
>>

Rick and Morty did it the best. While it took some getting used to the new actors performances are way better than their original. Dr. Hibbert isn't too far off his original but you can hear the subtle yet different inflections. Apu now sounds even more racist which is weird since he's voiced by an actual Indian but it still sounds like a white guy doing an Indian accent. Dale's barely sounds like him.

Kahn and Ted, without a fucking doubt.
Not only did they not even bother getting a Laotian actor (kind of defeating the point), but they don't even remotely try to imitate the voices that Toby Huss gave them, with or without the accent.
Huss isn't a great fit for Dale, but he at least tries to imitate the inflection of Hardwick's performance.
The rest range from "good imitation" to "there was an attempt".

Alright, I'll rank these examples from top to bottom and you'll be free to disagree with me:
1. Cleveland
2. Rick
3. Carl
4. Hibbert
5. Dale
6. Morty
7. Kahn
8. Ted
?. Apu

If you can't tell by that last one, I have yet to hear Apu's new voice.

>Rick and Morty
It's true, it's a good imitation but the writing's so bad I can only hear a man doing a lifeless impression.
>Dale Gribble
I'm ashamed to say I thought they aired the episodes out of production order and (dying) Johnny Hardwick was Toby Huss and vice versa. I only watched the first reboot season though.

The rest are godawful especially for the pathetic reasons they were recast
>>
I don't mind Huss Dale, I think it sounds fine as an "old Dale"

Hard to find a decent clip, Homer never shuts the hell up

The characters with the reasons that weren’t politically motivated recasts were probably the better ones. That means Dale, Rick and Morty
>>
>>155977596
Rick and Morty were politically motivated.
>>
I’m used to new Dale. Old Ted never sounded that bad to me desu. Khan sounded terrible.
>>
>>155976650
This. Kahn is a fucking immigrant, he's supposed to have a fucking accent.
And then Ted didn't have an accent, the joke was he had a huwhite accent, so by giving him a bleh whatever average American accent by some random gook defeats the joke.

I'm confused, I just saw a recent clip of the Halloween special, when did the white guy stop doing Cleveland, he sounds the same.
And rick and morty, I know roiland got in trouble, but don't their voice still sound the same, did roiland not get his roles back?
>>
>>155977856
Wow, I cannot hear the fucking difference for Cleveland, Rick and Morty.
But thats still fucking gay.
I thought Family Guy stood their ground.
And I may not like Roiland, but he made the show and the case was dropped or he was aquitted, why the fuck was he not given his job back?

But also, it these fucking people can do a near identical replacement, why the fuck couldn't the others?

>Wow, I cannot hear the fucking difference for Cleveland
I can, he sounds extremely forced compared to the old one.

OK, I'd say that's worse than Carl but better than Kahn. It's too obviously someone else but not so they're not trying. Pressed on it, I guess I'd place it between Dale and Morty.
>>
>>155976908
The chainsmoking caught up to him
>>
>>155976556
Rick is fine but Morty still kinda sucks
>>
Cleveland is the best. He's so spot on you can barely notice he's changed VAs 99% of the time.
Rick & Morty's were a bit off at first but have grown into them now.
Carl is in a weird spot where he sounds off, but if this was his voice all along, it would have been fine.
Dale is doing his best, and is getting better at it. It's obvious there was a bit of teething issues at first which don't seem fair to judge too harshly, and Hardwick's Dale was also sounding rougher due to his age and declining health anyway.
Apu is too new to judge. I think he's fine when talking normally, but when he gets higher pitched and emotional it's noticeable off.
Hibbert... He can do the laugh I guess.
Kahn and Ted are just completely different voices where no attempt was even made.
>>
>>155976650
Huss mostly does fine for Dale but his voice just seems to randomly go flat at points where it should be jumping all over the place.

Khan is bad because he can do the whiny voice, he just almost never seems to so he talks like a normal person. Ted is shit, he's a different character, his whole thing is him being a smug arsehole who tries to talk like an upper class white guy.

A better kind of politically motivated.
