We've all seen how thirsty people are for demon women but Its kind of a missed opportunity how there is basically no media depicting Jinn romance with a human as it is quite an established fact within islamic folklore that Jinn, unlike demons in Christianity, can and do in fact create romantic relationships with humans. This artist is from my knowledge, the only one who has touched this concept and it is genuinely wonderful because it captures jinn in their pure essence of how they're described in folklore.
>>155978632Ah, yes, this artist. The artist in OP. That artist that you are referring to. The one we all know about on sight.
>>155978632What’s the artists @
>>155978692>>155978710Yeah, excuse my obscurity but the artist is breentomi. The artist has a habit of forgetting her passwords so you need to scroll several accounts to find most of his artwork.
>>155978679>>155978653This is one way to do 'smokeless fire' I suppose. Though it comes across as more angelic for my tastes.
>>155978757Calling them demonic or angelic is wrong as they are just a part of creation much like we are, its just by islamic lore they are made of smokeless fire while we are made out of mud. They can take appearance of a fine maiden but also transform into a eldritch abomination.
>>155978794I know that. My point is that angels are the ones that are made of light in Islamic lore.
>>155978632TL;DR on Jinns?
>>155978815Demons of smokeless fire made servants by King Solomon with powers given from God.
>>155978839They aren't demons. They are sapient creatures made of smokeless fire by God with full free will. They can have their own religions and beliefs. In Islamic lore, anyway.
>>155978815They're akin to demons in christianity but differ substantially. Jinn are not fallen angels instead they're just another part of Gods creations alongside Humans, Angels and among other things. They have their own nations, language, cultures and motives. Some are benevolent and others are malevolent. Some are harmless, others could wipe out civilizations if they wanted to. Some can also befriend or even fall in love with humans but this is strictly forbidden by God.
>>155978815Beings made out of smokeless fire with their own will and motives much like us.
>>155978632I'm about to fuck her in her demon pussy
>>155978868>strictly forbidden by God.Disputable.Not saying it's not a valid read, but if it was strictly done, you'd have an explicit text against it instead of inference.
>>155978868You also just described the Fae.
>>155978909Strictly forbidden is a rather heavy term as it doesn't really prohibit it like homosexuality, but its inferred that such relationship doesn't bid well in the eyes of the Lord. Fire and Clay don't mix, how a Jinn handles relationship and how a human does differ substantially. But its feasible. >>155978911Probably the closest analogue to Jinns there is.
>>155978868>>155978909>>155978944So I don't understand, why would it be taboo if two beings with their own willpower decided to love each other? Is it because its like beastiality or something?
>>155978815Umbrella term for all supernatural creatures. The blue genie from Aladdin is more specifically a Marid. Demons are a subset of jinn who choose to be evil.
>>155978983They are meant to stay apart each in their own worlds. If jinns frequently interacted with humans they would reveal the existence of the supernatural and people would know God definitely exists and all that stuff is 100% true, and submit out of natural survival instincts/fear instead of via true faith.
>>155978944>Fire and Clay don't mixSome brick layers, potters and sculptors would disagree.
>>155979065>true faithWe playing World of Darkness now?
I must know if this is halal before I proceed.
>>155978983Its more of fireboy and watergirl type situation than beastiality. A Jinn form of love, even if it means no ill intention, is obsession to point of exhaustion. That's their way of expressing love is to be constantly within their partners vicinity, physically, spiritually and mentally. They'll fester in dreams, leave no privacy and no thoughts to yourself. It breaks apart the body and spirit of the individual tied with the Jinn, even those around if the Jinn suspects anyone of trying to take away from it. Also this >>155979065
>>155978632If Arabic culture wasn't sure repressive we'd probably get a lot of stories like that
>>155978632This fucking thread and premise has captivated the fuck out of me and is inspiring me to write a story about it.
Do we really need to keep calling it smokeless fire? Plasma seems more appropriate or vril if you’re nasty.
>>155979304Its how Quran proclaims Jinns are made out of. Plasma is technically a fitting term but its debated, but its also what the artist went with as a design philosophy on the Jinn design.
>>155979125So. Slightly less murderous Yandere.
>>155979475Either slightly less or just straight up a Yandere.
>>155978632They don't do this because Christian demons won't be the thing that spurs people into a murderous rage for even depicting them. "No graven images"
>>155978868>>155978911Before mankind was created, the jinn were given dominion over the world. At first they remained loyal to God and lived in peace, but over time, they turned away from Him and plunged the world into war, violence and chaos. In response, God sent the angels to cleanse the earth. Through holy fire and fierce battles, the jinn were massacred and the survivors fled into caves, forests and other remote places to hide.Among the jinn however, was one who had remained faithful to God: Iblis. He joined the angels in their campaign and served God with such devotion that he eventually rose to become their leader. Then God created Adam, He commanded the angels to bow before him. All obeyed except Iblis, who refused, believing himself superior to Adam and claiming that his own nature made him more worthy of honor. His pride and disobedience sealed his fate, and he was cast down from Heaven and turned into Shaytan(Satan)
>>155979065Well that's bs
>>155979400It think "smoke-less fire" is more heat that doesn't burnDoes that make sense Also seriously this concept sounds nice, I want an actually story(Perfably a comic)
The reason why there isn't any western animation or comic depicting Jinn x Human relationships is because people don't want to get Charlie Hebdo'd.
>>155979304>>155979400Jinn on occasion are described to appear in a form of light in dark place so them being made out of plasma is genuinely something that would make sense. >>155980527I'm not sure whether or not it fits but the OP artist has actually made a short comic pilot. Its just unfortunately in the artists native language because I'd do a short storytime in this thread.
>>155980562Well there was done show but it just had an animated intro.
>>155978632Jinn are arab fairies, not demons. And Europe has a shitload of stories about guys marrying elves, selkies, merrows and other shit.
>>155978757I assumed it meant they are made of glowy energy like stuff. Light up and move like fire, but is not actually fire, that sort of thing,
>>155978815God made them first to populate the Earth, they were too unruly and wild, so God tried again and made humans.Jin are basically energy people that have no defined form and can shapeshift, they are invisible to humans. Pretty much all supernatural stories are attributed to them. They are the other mortal race on Earth that lives along side humans but hidden and always underneath things or behind walls, that kind of thing.
>>155978632
>>155980705The Frankish Merovingian dynasty claimed descent from an Undine, or water nymph. It should be noted that the Carolingians took a long time to properly overthrow them, waiting for a direct OK from the Pope himself. I like to think this was possibly prompted by a fear of fairy magic.
>>155978653Nice
>>155978632Absolute wife material.
>>155979065That's not true, even djinn are non-Muslims.
>>155981419I get djinns following Hinduism and Buddhism but what I don't get is why some would follow Christianity since that's a very human-centric religion with the only non-human sophonts being angels.
