I'm so tired of shit home media releases.
>because season 3 never had a blu-ray for them to lazily copy over, they didn't even copy over all the commentaries the DVD did have
>but because season 3 was released on dvd, the complete DVD set did have them copied over
>russia is still censored to druznia
>still no shorts despite the final 3 seasons having them
>still stacked discs, people getting their purchases with them lose and smudged

WB has been absolute shit at home media for at least a decade. Only Warner Archive actually gives a shit. Shame they won't do Cartoon Network shows, only time they did was adult swim's Final Space
They'd be better off partnering with Shout Factory or something.

Shout did a pretty good job with Nickelodeon releases, yeah. A lot of them were just typical vanilla releases, but they seemed competent and did what they could. Then with Rocko's complete set they got Joe Murray to come back and do a whole big illustration for the cover, as well as a couple bonus features. Recentlyish they did Jimmy Neutron and included old special features like animatics.

What's really a shame is that JG (and most of the old show crew) is back and currently working on an RS revival, but they didn't bother to get in contact with anyone for any extras. No special JG drawing or cover (he manually made hundreds of prints for the S1&2 Bluray back in the day, he loves doing stuff for fans), no extra commentaries, instead missing pre-existing ones. It's just sad.

Shout would've been cool. This is half-baked enough that I genuinely don't know if I should even buy it despite being one of the few big fans of the show left.

I have more of this show saved than anyone else here probably does. Hell I have a TV premiere recording of the movie (no commercials though.)
When I truly like a show or movie, I want to buy and support and own a physical release. But it has to work both ways, the physical release has to be good too. I'm not going to blindly buy a halfassed product just because I support the show, because then you're also supporting a subpar product. That's what I'm complaining about, not that I can't have the show at all, but that they keep botching the physical releases of all these CN shows. Ed Edd n Eddy's complete series box set didn't even have the finale movie, let alone the 3 holiday specials.

That only works when the problem is too severe. Either you're missing part of the advertised product (like a whole disc) or they forgot a hundred episodes like Ben 10's. They aren't fixing Druznia or adding the shorts or the commentaries to a reprint. And a slighty scuffed disc isn't worth contacting and coordinating a replacement disc if it works.

If nothing else, I'm glad the OTGW Blu-ray is solid.
