I know that it was probably something the toy companies forced the writers to do cause the show make a joke about it, but a passive aggressive joke doesn't stop it from being a dumb change, especially since this was supposed to be a more mature show.

They do this and they don't even have the balls to commit to the bit. They have the characters point it out, pick it apart, explain it. >>155985028The simple fact that Ben comes up with the names completely undermines this entire concept. It would only work if he said the species names, instead he's saying names he coined, sometimes he says it before even knowing what the alien is, there is no way for this to work. It's just dumb.
>>155984310Each of the first 4 series has their own pros and cons to the extent that I don't think too many people really like or dislike any one over the others. For me personally Kevin alone made UAF fun, the overarching story made me wanna keep tuning in.

Heck, these aliens probably didn't even have official names in the OG series, just these sorta placeholder names only seen in the credits, I remember being confused by that as a kid, but the mystique of them being rare and unnamed also made them stick out too.>>155985994Lol, that just proves the alien callouts were a bad idea.
