Well, after some rest, I'm happy to say I'm back in business. Just got done watching the Lola episode. A delight! I've been saying it over and over, but has anyone else noticed this season has a VERY high rate of...let's say, sister episodes, but not just any sister episodes, but ones where they're largely completely alone? Like, they're the protagonist, no no-costar, pure lone sister focus. It's interesting, and it's become consistent enough that I'm beginning to believe it's something they wanted to do with this season, to truly give sister episodes 'sister episodes', that is to say, just them, no friends, no other sisters, no nothing. It's kind of a novel approach. Me? I like dual sisters or sisters and Lincoln but I still think it's an interesting way to do it. The characters have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, it's really just them. You come to see what they're truly made of.Anyway, once again, Lola demonstrates that she is the funniest sister and gets the best episodes. I don't know what it is about her. She's just hilarious. Is it because she's allowed to be evil without heming and hawwing about it like a lot of others, her embrace of her schemes is always really quick? Whatever the case, I thought the episode was very amusing, and seeing Lola on the prowl for spli and fall opportunities made me laugh, especially her 'hehehe' attitude and hand rubbing when she sees her chance. Probaly the funniest moment was 'a foot massage AND a neck message!? You really shouldn't!' 'But I only said a foot-' and then Lola cuts her off by pressing her face right next to hers and the woman chuckles nervously. Fine moment. Again, Lola is just the funniest.

I guess the interior of that chocolate factory was too good to just draw once and leave as a one off. To be fair there was a lot of pretty interesting shit and the subversion from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where everything is up for grabs and all the kids are constantly getting majorly fucked up, sucked into chocolate tubes and airvents and stretched out like Mikey TV, the fact that this was the exact opposite and every little damn thing was child safe was an interesting inversion and pretty funny if you remember the original movie where Wonka pretty much sent everybody to their deaths.Good moral too, at the end. Lola's a sweet girl, despite all. Actually, at the end, I think maybe she became a little bit TOO much of a pushover. A hair in your food is reason for complaint, I don't know anybody who would just let it slide, at that point you are doing a favor to the restaurant to let them know someone's not very good with their hairnet and to not do it again. But whatever, the fact she's sweet enough now to turn down the chance is good, and I also liked the mention that she returned all the free stuff from earlier instead of just forgetting about it. Lana eating the hair was fucking grody, I'm with Lola on that. As for the slip and fall stuff, the scene with Scoots dragging her around the store was definitely the funniest, but the one with the motorbike videogame was the most relatable. I remember being a little kid in arcades like four feet tall or whatever and trying to ride that shit and corner by turning the bike, and it was just hopeless. My little monkey little jimmy body just hanging off the contraption as it's fucking side, trying not to fall off, lel. Accurate. Anyway, pretty funny episode, very Lola, definitely goes into the rotation. What can I say? She is a cutie and she makes me laugh. I adore her.

She has never looked sexier than in the rock climb for this episode, dang. Apart from that, the best action sequence was definitely the scooter race which I wonder if I should take screencaps of. Again, dug that it was outdoors, no interpersonal drama in the friend group like the 'Get Clyde mad so he's better at dodgeball', just a simple, nice, goodhearted outing. I thought everyone was pretty charming in it and I'm happy to put it into the rotation. Was it a classic? Heck no, but it was a pleasant time with characters I like and that's really all I ask, and no one was a dick either, a pleasant outing into a kinder girl that's not total mush. The combination of smugness, hunger, desire, and satisfaction over capturing her prey has magnificent interplay, and altering her pupils was a great stroke of inspiration. Combined with her classic looking hair and the new ears as the hair covers where her normal ear would be, it's a great look. Beautiful modest chest, and the boy shirt was another stroke of good thinking, it lets you pull it open and look disheveled unlike a t-shirt which would actually have to be torn, I think this feels slicker, like they could just button up as soon as they're done, Lincoln walking home with a limp his clothes only slightly disheveled, and Lynn whistling a satisfied tune, clothes also slightly disheveled, and no one being the wiser.
