Are there any modern Batman runs from the last 5-10 or so years that are appropriate for a kid below the age of 12? My son (8 years old, turning 9 next month) is completely in love with the character due to watching a lot of stuff related to him on youtube and playing the Lego game we got him, going out as Bats for Haloween and stuff. He's asking me to show him the movies and comics and while im trying desperatly to get him on literally ANYTHING that's not on the internet I know damn well most of the more popular Batman stories like DKR, Long Haloween or anything involving Scott Snyder at all arent fit for a kid that age, maybe 10+ but not now. Does DC have any friendly comics about Batman and Robin going on fun adventures that I can dig up or do I have to dig for shit from before the 90s? It can be a little trashy as long as it doesnt involve horrendous stuff like Joker scarring his own face to smile
>>155986285Don’t look for anything recent, anon. Most comics published this century are aimed towards immature adults.Look into the Silver Age, Bronze Age runs. Detective Comics and Batman runs from the 1960s-1970s. I’m not enough of an expert to point you in any specific direction, but there’s a huge wealth of stories aimed towards a younger audience around those years.
>>155986285The Batman Adventures, based on the animated series.
>>155986285It looks like DC had a specific imprint for kids aged 8-12 listed as "DC Graphic Novels for Kids" so if you search that you can get a lot of options. They may have rebranded that imprint so you could probably find more results beyond what's just listed under that. Most of these look like one shot graphic novels. If you want a longer running series instead then this >>155986373 comes up as for all ages.
>>155986285Check Mark Waid's stuff since he came back to DC.Batman & Robin Year One. Batman/Superman World's Finest. World's Finest Teen Titans. They're the closest thing to age appropriate you'll get in the main DC Universe.Otherwise look for their Young Readers books, but these are mostly shit.

>>155986285These characters really shouldn't have separate books for kids and teenagers. That shit's greedy.
